4 – Blush on
"CHEF" untag ng assistant chef kay Roue.
"Yes?"
"Kanina ka pa nakangiti." Napahawak si Roue sa kanyang mukha.
"Am I?" ngumiti siya, he wouldn't hide it.
"Yes, kahapon ka pa nakangiti." Agad siyang bumalik sa restaurant pagkatapos nilang mag-usap ni Bless. "Mukhang may nangyaring maganda, I've never seen you all-smile since you hired me here."
Tumawa siya sa sinabi ng assistant. "Hindi nga, anong meron?"
"I met my fiancée." Kunot-noong tumingin ang kausap sa kanya.
"Fiancee?"
"A woman I am about to marry."
"I know what a fiancée is, hindi ko lang alam na meron ka palang ganoon. Wala akong naalalang nililigawan mo maliban sa mga kliyente natin.
"We were engaged eight years ago."
"And you've never introduced her to us." Gusto niyang mapakamot ng noo. Gusto niyang sabihin na hindi rin niya ito madalas na nakikita at nakakausap. And yesterday was the longest conversation they had.
"Soon."
"Is she pretty?"
Pretty? Pretty is an understatement, kahapon lang din niya ito natitigan ng husto. Yes, she looks like a freaking Barbie doll, Bless is a perfect epitome of Ms. Prim and Proper. The innocent look and the sweetness of her smile is really refreshing but there's something off. He never saw her frown or got mad, she's all smile and all. She's sugar and everything nice plus the spice.
"Secret."
"Gumaganoon ka na chef, hindi bagay sa iyo." Muli siyang tumawa sa sinabi nito.
"MILAGRO at nandito ka sa opisina." Untag nang chief editor ng Sugar Magazine. "Tinapos mo na ang lahat ng reviews?"
"I still have the new blush-ons from KR House."
"The new South Korean products?" tumango siya. "They are still new in the market, they are Sugar Magazine much for a good review." Sinulyapan niya ito at nagkibit-balikat lamang siya.
