Lilly walked. She walked with the overwhelming hope of finding where she came from, how she ended up at the river. Although sometimes, when you look for answers you only come across more questions. Angel caught up to her in no time, so she jumped back on the ATV. The girls had their eyes peeled, looking. Looking for something, something that you don’t know what it is until you find it.
It only took about five minutes till they came across it. Angel missed it, but Lilly seem to spot it as though it was the most obvious thing ever. Angel slowed to a stop.
“I knew I find something!” Lilly said, but as soon as its continents came into vision. Lilly started to remember.
She wanted to scream out in pain. But she knew she’d be found. Lillian weaved through trees, panting like she never has in her life. She looked in her hand. Her only proof. She considered dropping it. No you fool, she’ll get it, she’ll find you. She told herself, she was getting weaker with each pounding step. She had no choice. She was worn out. She looked behind her. No one. The bag slipped out of her hands. She felt relieved, but she wasn’t out yet. She realised, she was lost.
Angel gasped at the sight.
“Don’t touch it!” She exclaimed before taking out a pair of tongs from a bag hidden under the seat. Using the Barbeque tongs, she picked up the bag by its corner. Lilly’s eyes were filled with tears, the bag itself had one, bloody handprint on it. Inside, was three different coloured hair strands held together by elastic. Platinum blonde, a darker brown, with blonde streaks, and a dirty blonde. Lilly screamed, and started to bawl. How did this even happen? She thought, for it didn’t take much to recognise her father, brothers, and her own hair. Angel quickly loaded it onto the ATV and embraced her friend in a hug
“Don’t cry” Her soothing voice came. Within minutes Lillian couldn’t resist calming down. Beep Beep! Beep Beep! Came Angels watch, making them both jump and give an awkward giggle.
“I’m okay… Really…” Lilly said wiping her eyes. They walked over the ATV, and turned around to go back to meet Sky and Jay. They rode in silence.
Sky was there to greet us. Then Jay rode in.
“Lillian.” He said “Do you recognise it this?” He handed Lilly a combat boot. Krome was etched into the bottom.
