The birds sang through to the rising sun. The pastel colours dancing throughout the awakening sky and the full clouds gradually becoming bright.

I was always an early riser. I liked to watch the sunrise. How the simple light awoke nature and imformed it of a new day. The birds singing their praise to the sun for its light and the plants relishing in the fact they could feed again.

The world fascinated me

I felt I was beyond blessed to be able to sit on my window ledge and watch the world wake up. I felt lucky to know I got to see another sunshine. You never knew what day would be your last and as my cerulean eyes flickered from the peaceful view to my messy haired and half dressed roommates. I couldn't help but smile and thank the world for allowing me to breath.

Thank merlin for my gift.

Everyone in my life was safe and healthy. The sun was coming up on my first day of classes of my sixth year. My boys were probably still sleeping but they were here. I was so incredibly lucky.

I was a simple girl with riches

My riches? This. This moment that I imprinted in my mind every single school day for the past five years.

Memories of my home with my family

"Fawny baby! Can you braid my hair?" Lily asks from her place in front of the mirror we all shared.

Both lily and I were early risers. While I loved to watch the sunrise, she preferred to read for a few minutes and eventually try wake up the blonde bombshell who was always late to first class.
