"Fawn"

"Come to me" The whispers were quiet. But I could hear them as clear as day. The words leaving a shiver down my spine.

"I don't know where you are" I answered timidly. The classroom was cold and I could feel the breeze slip under the thick grey Hogwarts jumper and invade my senses.

"Hmm? What did you say fawny baby?" Lily asked and glanced away from the notes she was taking to look at me.

She sent me a sweet smile and placed her pale and petite hand over my own. The small bit of human contact gave me a sense of comfort and safety I hadn't felt since before the hospital incident with Sirius.

"Yeah- yeah I'm fine" I forcefully let out a small laugh and slap a small smile onto my face to try and convince my friend that everything was ok. She didn't need to be stressed out about this. No body needed to know what was happening.

"Miss Scott? Can you explain what a patronus is for the rest of the class?" I jumped in my seat at the soft voice of professor flitwick.

The small man stood on a small stack of books. His wand in his hand and his eyes focused on my figure. My mind rattled with the question and I cleared my throat as I sat straighter in my seat.

"A patronus is a kind of Anti-Dementor – a guardian which acts as a shield between you and the Dementor. The ability to cast a corporeal or non-corporeal Patronus is down to the skill of the witch or wizard. They can also be used as communication between witches and wizards along with identifying the individuals animagus form" The words tumbled from my lips. But I was surprised at how accurate the definition was for someone in my mind set.
