It amazed me, how much Jimin had been holding himself back before we had been officially dating.
He hadn't necessarily been hiding anything, but now he gave me every single piece of himself with no fear of rejection. At points it was almost overwhelming.
Both of us showed love physically, a trait that was wonderful when we had the time to explore it, but it was easy to get carried away.
The amount of times in the past week the two of us had rushed to get to work and almost been late because we were cuddling was ridiculous.
I was at the coffee shop I worked at, mindlessly taking orders and smiling until my cheeks hurt. It was around lunch, so the place was packed.
So far, no one had recognized me. Or if they did, they hadn't said anything.
Hopefully, I would eventually learn how to work the machines and wouldn't have to work the register anymore.
"Hello, how many I help you?" I said to the next customer, not looking up from my notepad.
"One caramel latte please." My head shot up at the voice, and my eyes widened when I saw Jimin in front of me. He was wearing all black, with a hat and face mask.
He smirked, and handed me his credit card.
"My lunch break is in ten minutes." I whispered to him after taking his order. He nodded, letting his hand brush my fingers as I gave him back his card.
"You know, Naerin, flirting with all the customers is a great business tactic." My coworker said to me after I told him Jimin's order.
"Shut up, Jaehyun. He's my boyfriend." The words came out before I could stop them.
"Bullshit. That guy looked way out of your league."
"He is!"
"Hey." My manager said, interrupting the petty argument. "Both of you back to work." The two of us nodded, returning to our respective jobs.
I counted the seconds till my break, until it had finally been ten minutes. I toke off my apron and name pin, and quickly rushed over to where Jimin was sitting in the café.
"Jimin-ah..." I said, placing a soft kiss on his cheek. "How was work today?"
"Pretty good. We were in the recording studio most of the day, so I'm not too tired. Who was that guy you were talking to?"
"Huh? You mean Jaehyun? He's my coworker." I reached for Jimin's hand that was lying on the table.
"I didn't like the way he looked at you." He said quietly, glancing over to where Jaehyun was still working.
"He knows you're my boyfriend. Anyway, I only have eyes for you." I squeezed Jimin's hand.
"Sorry, bunny. I just have to get used to your uncanny ability to make new friends so quickly." His eyes scrunched up, and I could tell he was smiling under his mask.
I had hoped his insufferable nickname for me would eventually wear off, but a week had passed and he still used it continuously.
"It's okay, I know I can be...overly social. Do you have to go back to BigHit after this?" I asked, returning his smile.
"Nope. That's why I came here. I want to spend the afternoon with you."
My gaze softened, knowing that on the few days off he had, he wanted to be with me.
"What do you want to do? We could go back to the dorm and watch a movie?" I played with the rings on his fingers.
"No, I want to be able to touch you without worrying who sees." He looked up at me, a tired look in his eyes.
