Silence
"Uhm, Ma'am?"
We both sat up. Someone in the corner of the hole closest to Mackenzie was clearly shaking. No, that's probably the wrong term for it. He was vibrating. Clearly terrified of us, he pointed to Mackenzie. "Can-can you get off my tail?" Mackenzie instantly jumped up and the boy curled something around his leg. "Sorry!" Mackenzie apologized repeatedly. "W-why were you guys running?" He asked suspiciously. "We... we're running from...uh..." I needed to think of a lie... "a wolf!" That's what the guy reminded me of. One of those fairy tale wolves who eat people. The blue-haired boy stared at me with piercing green eyes and then smiled. "As long as you both are alright." Mackenzie grabbed me by the arm and dragged me away for a second. "What's wrong?" I asked, worried that she was afraid or hurt. She looked up at me, her whole face a bright red. "He's... so....." she put her hands to her face and smiled ridiculously. "Hessofreakinadorableomigossshhhhhhhhhh!!!"
Daisy.exe. has stopped working.
"Excuse me?" I said finally. "First, a crazy guy comes up and tries to kidnap us, or me, I saved you from being kidnapped, and Second, some weird, strange color pallet cat-man comes and makes you squeal??" I hit my head on the trunk of the nearest tree and groaned. "Whaatttt issss wronnngggg withhhh theeeee worrrrllldddddd..." I sang aggressively.
"So you guys are running from master Aaron?" The cat boy said, popping out from behind the tree. "Aaron?" I asked. Thinking for a couple of seconds, I said "That's WAYYYYYYY too normal for him. Are we talking about the same guy?" A voice growled behind me, "Its a perfectly fitting name for me," I jumped about four feet in the air and screamed. I took off running, and Mackenzie and for some reason the car boy followed. We ran for about half an hour and then stopped. "You think we lost him?" Mackenzie said, panting and looking around. "I'm tired of running."
"No, you didn't loose me, I can always find you." Aaron said as he stepped from behind a tree. Because my brain works in mysterious ways, my mind referred to that one vine where that guy steps from behind the tree and says "hey guys, it's me," I burst out laughing, not on purpose, but it was just such an inconvenient time to think about that. I rolled on the ground, dying from laughter. Mackenzie joined in, too, but I don't think she knew what was going on. "Are you done?" Aaron asked as he stood over me. "N-no*haha*your face is so*hahahaa* ugly I'm going to*hahaha* throw up." He rolled his eyes and said something to the cat boy. I finally stopped laughing and sat up, looking up at Aaron and his somehow very distracting scar on the bridge of his nose.
"Okay, Okay," I giggled as he threatened to pick me up again.
Somehow, Aaron summoned a carriage with some skeleton horses and forced me in. All o wanted to do was pet the beautiful creatures.
"Where are we even going?" Mackenzie asked, sitting close to catman. Catman answered, "We're almost to Taluna, where mon-" "I can't do this." I said, standing up in the carriage. They all looked at me as I said to cat boy "what is your name. I can't keep calling you catman or cat boy." He made a face and said. "Lloyd. It's Lloyd Fern." I sat back down in satisfaction. Now he has a name. As I looked out the window at all of the huge trees passing by, I could feel Aaron's eyes as he stared at me. Let me go hoooooommeeeeee.... I whined in my head.
