[2:13pm]

shreds of wrapping paper were scattered across the floor after a morning filled with gift exchanges between you and your boyfriend. although the two of you gave and received very sweet presents, the most meaningful of them all was that the two of you had some time to spend together. and so now, you stood on either side of the kitchen table with frosting covering your hands as you attempted to build your own gingerbread house. even though it was wobbly, the four walls were standing tall while jisung was given the job of placing the roof on top. with shaky hands, he accidentally pressed the piece of gingerbread too hard on top of the other pieces, causing the whole house to collapse. you looked up at him with wide eyes in disbelief as all your hard work had crumbled away—literally. "jisung!" you exclaimed, chucking a green gumdrop at his chest. the worst part of it all was that you didn't even get to decorate the house with a variety of candies like you were anticipating. "oops?" he shrugged his shoulders and picked up the gumdrop you threw, that had landed on the table, before popping it into his mouth. unable to stay mad at your boyfriend—especially with the cute, gummy smile that was plastered across his face—you laughed and broke off a piece of gingerbread to eat. it was far from being a perfect gingerbread house, but the fact that you worked on it together made the whole moment perfect.
