After spending 3 months in smallville, kara finally returns to her home; National city.
In that time she has not contacted Mon-el in any way.
But she always asked about him from her sister, who told no great news about him.
All she heard was Mon-el has disconnected himself from everything, he doesn't social anymore. And keeps things to himself and also kept a personal diary to write every single thing. And to the worse, he started staying in the DEO like earlier.
Every time Kara heard about him, she cried behind the locked doors. She never disclosed anything to Alex as she might tell Mon-el, but she knew that Kara was in pain too. And she wished if she could make her sister feel any better.
Now that finally she was going back, Kara didn't inform anyone and wanted to suprise Mon-el.
She wanted to leave in the early morning itself and wanted to have breakfast with Mon-el and Alex but Clark and Ma Kent forced her to stay for breakfast and than leave.
It was almost 10:30 am, when Kara reached her loft. She took warm bath and put on some nice cloths and left for Catco.
Before going to the Catco, she thought of going to her favourite coffee shop to get some coffee as it will referesh her.
She entered into her regular coffee show and walked straight to the counter and ordered coffee and Donuts. She paid the amount to the waitress and turned around; to her suprise it was Mon-el with a girl.
Kara stopped there itself and narrowed her eyes and tilted her head to see her face, and for her second surprise, she saw Eve opposite to Mon-el.
She was shocked and wanted to walk away, until Eve noticed her
"Hey Kara, you are back!!" Eve shouted from her table, and Mon-el was suprised as well as happy and turned quickly towards Kara to see her.
"Hi Eve..." Kara forged a fake forced smile
"How was your assignment??" She questioned
"I'm sure you had great time... Can't wait to hear all about it.." she further added
"Oh it was good..."
"And .. I can see you two are having great time too.."
Kara continued to give a forceful smile, pretending she was happy
"Kara... How you have been??"
Mon-el questioned Kara with the of happiness in his eyes, unknown of Kara's anger on him.
"Oh... I have been great..."
She replied
"And looks like, it didn't take time for you to move on..." She added with smile on her lips but tears forming in her eyes.
"Kara... No... It's...." Mon-el tried explaining
"Mon-el, save it! I'm literally happy for you two..." Kara added fixing her glasses with one hand
"Oh no no... Ms. Kara... Wait..." Eve exclaimed and tried solving Kara's misunderstanding.
"Oh shit!!" Mon-el said to himself
"I'm fired"
"Mon-el, don't worry, I'll explain it to her..." Eve promised Mon-el before she grabbed her coat and walked out.
Mon-el thought to himself, "I hope she understands..." Because he knew Kara so well that he read her face when she saw them two together.
"I should get back to the DEO and tell Alex before things could get worse.."
Mon-el got to the DEO, and found that Kara is throwing Christmas eve diner that night.
"Alex... I need to talk...to you..." Mon-el approached Alex terried, who was busy talking to Winn about the party.
"Hey Mon-el, Kara is back.. and guess what she is hosting a Christmas dinner tonight at her loft..." Alex joyfully replied Mon-el who was a way terrified
"...for which of-course, I'm not invited.." Mon-el said with a look of sadness in her eyes as her nodded his head
"Why wouldn't you be invited...?? Kara texted everyone, must be you haven't checked your phone..."
Alex replied
"I checked and there's no text from her..."
Mon-el replied
"Are you sure dude??, Wait I will call her right away...."
Winn said before he took his phone out of his pocked with one hand.
"No no... Wait... Guys..
I met Kara already..."
Mon-el said
"Wait... you met her already??" Winn questioned
"Yeah... Alex.. you told Eve to take me out for coffee and we were there sitting and having coffee and Kara...." Mon-el explained and Winn continued his sentence
"..Kara saw you both together..."
"Yeah and she thinks we both are together.. dating..." Mon-el aggressively said
"Oh great!" Winn exclaimed
"Wait.. why would she think like that... I'm sure she didn't took it that way... I know her Mon-el, she..." Alex tried explaining but..
"Alex... I've seen her face... I looked into her eyes... She was pissed off after looking at us.. and obviously, in pain..." Mon-el added quickly.
"Oh crap! We need to fix this...as soon as possible..."
Alex shouted
"Yes... And I don't know how... You better help me..."
Mon-el requested Alex with a terrified look.
"Mon-el, don't worry... I'll talk to her... I'm sure things will be fine by tonight..." Alex suggested Mon-el
"And now, you better get ready for tonight's dinner... I have a shopping list prepared for you"
She added.
"Oh no! No way I'm coming for dinner, she will roast me the moment she sees me..." Mon-el replied terrifically
"Mon-el relax... I will fix things by than...I promise..." Alex promised Mon-el and patted on his back
"Now you go with winn and get the things I've shortlisted..."
"Okay.." Mon-el replied before walking away with winn and finally Alex took a deep breath.
