Chapter 4

                                 Iris's POV
       I had the older kids set the table up for me as I cooked. The younger ones went and watched A Christmas Carol in the living room (trailer for movie above). I heard the front door open and close then heard "HONEY I'M HOOOOOME!!!". The kids ran for the front door shouting "UNLCE RODGER! AUNT SALLY!" I just shamed my head and kept on cooking. Sally came in with her two year old May.
May had her dad's blonde hair and blue eyes. She also had his good looks. But she had her mother's timid ness, and kindness. I think she will be beautiful inside and out. Though their son Hayden is going to be just like his father. Good looking on the outside inside not so much.
"Hello Sally" I say as I quickly hug her before getting back to cooking. "Hi Iris. Need a hand" Sally asked in her British accent; while pulling an apron out from my apron drawer. "Why certainly" I say as mocking her accent perfectly she smiled at me knowing of my background. My mother's mother's father was from Britain too, but moved her for a new start. Sally moved her though when she was just six her family coming here for some weird reason.
May and Belle were sitting at the small breakfast nock in the kitchen. They are playing patty cake over there and are entertaining themselves. Soon the others arrive with their kids and bags, because we decided that everyone would come earlier. The girl are helping my in the kitchen, and I had placed Rodger in charge of grilling the steak. So he has the guys are out in the backyard grilling and drinking some beer.
"So girls I have some news" Rae said all of a sudden; we look to her curiously. "I had gone to the doctor earlier this morning and... well I'm pregnant" said Rae now looking at all of us. We all smiled, but stopped when Evelyn said "you haven't told Dallas yet. Have you?". We then stare intensely at her some of us with mother looks. "I was hoping we could do something fun. To surprise him" said Rae "Alright what you got in mind" said Emma grinning now. Rae is big on pranks, and truly all of us are.
We then discuss the plan, and get the older kids involved. At least the ones that keep their mouths shut, and like pranks. So all my kids starting from Allie and up. What can I say I raised them well is all I can really say.
The door bell rings and I go excuse myself from the kitchen to head to the front door. I open the door to see Romeo and Klaus having a stare down with Austin and Duke. "Iris" said Klaus's wife Francesca, her mother is French and moved her while she was pregnant with Francesca. "Hello Francesca" I greet both my brother's wife and welcome her in. "Hi Iris" says Zero stepping in and hugging me; Gabe stepped in with their kids quickly hugging me as well. Romeo came in and hugged me and then Klaus.
I was shocked to see Duke here, and then fear set in for both Evelyn and Bryce. Bryce knows who his dad is and knows what kind of man he is. Bryce actually told me and Evelyn once he never wants to meet his father. So right now it's either hide Bryce, kick Duke out, or let everyone meet each other.
       Also just so you know Romeo and Evelyn are dating. They have been since Bryce was three months old. So their relationship is a nine year long one, and Romeo plans on proposing soon. So you can see why Duke coming in right now would be a bad idea. For all reasons you should know.
       Also no one likes him very much anyways. He dated Lucy for a bit after what happened with me and Austin. Then he cheated on her with Elizabeth, you know that bitch from High School. The last time I saw her, she was at a club with Austin drunk. Yes I still go to those only with my friends though, and I still don't drink. I'm just the designated drive like always.
       "Iris good to see you" said Duke "like wise man whore" I say smiling and her a gasp. I turn to see Selena, I nodded my eyes in Evelyn's direction. "Umm Iris... we need you" said Selena "of course be there in a moment" I say still fake smiling. Selena nods then heads back to the kitchen to alert Evelyn of Duke being here. "Iris you look beautiful" said Austin as he and Duke step into the house "thanks" I say smiling slightly. "Well if you excuse me" I say then head for the kitchen after they nod.
       I walk into the kitchen to see Evelyn crying and Bryce holding onto his mom. While Romeo rubs Evelyn's back trying to help calm her. "Didn't take the news well?" I ask Emma, who says "oh yeah" holding the 'o' out a bit. "Fantastic" I say sarcastically this day just can't get worse.
       Just then Ollie's monitor goes off and I sigh "and it just keeps on going" said Lucy. I glare at her as her smug grin disappears into a fearful face. I then head out the kitchen and pass Duke and Austin, who are still standing near the door. "Mommy!" I hear Conner call I turn to see him running to me "what is it Con" I say turning to him. "I was wondering if dinner is ready yet" Conner asked "who's really asking" I ask him. "Paul and Ryan of course" he says grinning at me "tell them I said not yet" I say smiling along with him. He nods then runs off.
       "How many kids do you have" Austin asked standing next to me "ten" I say then head up the stairs. "Ten!" I hear Austin shout then I hear his footsteps behind me. "Ten kids?" he asked "yes Austin all adopted" I say walking down the hall. We continue down the hall till we reach Ollie's room. I was in and noticed Austin stopped in the door way.
       "Hi baby" I say sweetly towards Ollie "Ma" said Ollie making me smile. I pick him and then walk over to the changing table. I change his diaper and as I am Austin asks "so you married? Have a boyfriend?". Before I could answer Ava popped her head in saying "Mommy Grandpa is here". "Tell him I'll be down in a minute" I tell Ava "ok" she says and leaves. I pick Ollie back up and place him on my hip, and start to leave the room.
       I pass Austin "you never answered my question" he said sounding jealous. "And my personal ain't any of your business. So please why don't you go grind on Elizabeth again" I say slightly yelling. In my head I could hear Lucy and Emma "and here she goes again folks anger out of control!".
       Why do I have to have a complicated life? Real question is why do Lucy and Emma think my person problems are hilarious?
