Sam's POV

The next day I woke up and I physically couldn't move for about 20 minutes. Luke was in the bathroom, puking his brains out. I grumbled and sat up, heavy from my first hangover.

"Hey Luke, there's some medicine in the cabinet below the sink." I call, not wanting to go in there. "I'll be downstairs if you need anything."

I walk downstairs and am greeted by the smell of eggs and pancakes. I walk into the kitchen and find Ashton of course. Michael and Calum are sitting at the bar drinking water and eating.

"Good morning," Ashton says, his voice a little scratchy but other than that he seems fine. I don't know if he drank as much as the rest of us.

"Morning." I grumble back and grab a plate, filling it up with a couple pancakes and eggs. I sit down beside Michael and start eating.

"Where's Luke?" Calum asks, setting down his fork and looking at he while he drinks some water.

"Throwing up in my bathroom." I respond after swallowing my food.

They all scrunch up their faces and make the same ew noises. Not long after, Luke walks slowly into the kitchen. He's still in his costume, his hair is messy as hell, and his makeup is smeared all over. He doesn't say a word and just grabs his plate, getting food and a drink and then he takes a seat beside me and doesn't look up.

"Is something wrong?" I ask quietly while the other boys clean up. They're too busy to listen.

"Did we hook up last night?" He asks lowly. I nod only slightly, trying not to be obvious to the other boys. He sighs, a hand running through his hair.

"What is it?" I push, still trying to be quiet. I can tell whatever Luke is about to say isn't going to be good.

"Where did we hook up?" He questions, taking a pite of his pancake and chewing very slowly.

"The master bedroom." I respond. He drops his fork and sighs hard. All the boys quiet down and look at us.

"I hooked up with someone in the woods last night." He blurts out. My heart sinks. It fucking sinks. I considered last night to be a date of sorts. I guess Luke thought otherwise. I slowly get up and walk upstairs. Luke doesn't even try to stop me, which I guess hurts more.

Once I'm safe in my room with the door locked, I sit on my bed and cry softly, looking at the stained pillowcase from Luke's makeup. It makes me cry harder. He was drunk, what'd you expect? I ask myself.

After a long time of crying there's a quiet knock on the door and I sniffle, trying to sound normal and most likely failing. "Yeah?"

"It's Ash," Ashton responds quietly, twisting the doorknob. "Let me in, everyone else went to Luke's."

I get up and walk to the door, unlocking it and then immediately turning around and walking back to my bed. I crawl back into the soft blankets and cry softly. I'm soon greeted by the weight of Ashton sitting down next to me. He pulls me into his arms and hugs me tightly and just rubs my back. It's good to know I always have him to count on. He's been there from the start and I honestly love him so much.

"It's gonna be okay. I tried to warn you. I shouldn't have let you get with him." He starts blaming himself and I immediately let go of him to shut it down.

"Ash, you're a great friend. This is all my fault. I shouldn't even be upset. We aren't dating or anything. He shouldn't have to commit to me if he doesn't want to." I say softly, my head now resting on Ashton's chest.
