Chapter seven - revenge

I was shattered when I heard the news, my father got into an accident in the motorway. It shocked me that it happened because Emily's father and my father always come home from together and it was weird that he didn't witness anything. I was utterly devastated because he doctors said the chances of survival were slim to none. I was sent straight there. Today was suppose to be a good day with my date and everything else going on. Whilst I was thinking, my phone beeped to alert me that I had a text. There was too.

JJ:

I heard what happened, me and Emily are going to be there soon xx hang on okay

It hurt me to know that they would be missing school because of me but I really needed someone right now, my mum was still making her way here, so I text them back.

thankyou guuys, I really need you guys right now.

The other text was from an Unknown number, I really couldn't deal with anything else.

My heart sunk, I was gutted. Of course Lily would do this , I just knew that she wouldn't back down from the prom thing. I felt sick,should I tell anyone? But I sure know she would use mom next, I couldn't lose both of them. Tears just covered my face , I sobbed and sobbed until Jared came, he hugged me and rubbed my back while saying soothing words to me.

"It'll be alright. Shhh. I'm here." He whispered. I hugged tighter, I felt my hands were going to break. Where was Emily? I needed her to.

"Emily couldn't make it sweetheart she wanted to be with her dad." Jared said almost reading my mind. What was wrong with her father? He wasn't the one in a hospital bed. I can't believe her. My mum arrived shortly, it hurt to see her cry so I tried to comfort her just as Jared did for me.

I called and called Emily but she wouldn't answer , what was wrong with her? I don't understand , I'm so confused. A few hours later, the doctor came in. "Things are looking good, he survived the major surgery to his arteries and he will be awake soon. Only two visitors at the time please." He smiled and went out.

We all let out breaths we didn't realise were in. Mum smiled and went out first so she could have alone time. I was sat opposite Jared , I felt bad he was here in my problems. I smiled and said," I'm sorry , this wasn't how I wanted today to go. You can go home, I'll be fine now but thanks for being here."

He sighed," seriously , you don't need me now, I'll just go shall I? I didn't think you were like that,Em." His voice husky and strained. My throat dry and I couldn't speak, I didn't want it to come out bad, I just didn't feel like he needed to be here especially since he wasn't my boyfriend or anything. He just look so tired and I didn't want him to feel like he was obliged to be in my problems. I needed a friend and he was there when Emily wasn't. I felt bad but I would deal with him later.

Emily's POV

I couldn't believe my ears, Lily threatened my father that he couldn't tell anyone about how the accident happened otherwise she would use my mum and me as hostage. Who was her father anyway, oh yeah her father is in charge of the government and he loves his dear daughter so very much! But if my dad and Em's dad were so close, wouldn't he do something about it? I was thankful that my dad is fine but I can't imagine what Emma's going through.

My mum swore everything would be fine if I didn't talk to her, but she needed me , when that didn't work out I asked Jared to go. Several calls from her I finally decided to call her. My voice strained because of my crying. She answered on the third ring.

"I'm sorry Em, we can't talk anymore , things have gotten real bad, and it's best if we aren't involved in each other's life." I forced out. I ended the call and cried until I couldn't cry anymore , Liam comforted me but it didn't help, I needed someone else, just then Jared texted me, I hope everything was fine.

Jared:

Things looking good with her dad. But to hell with Emma , I can't deal with her sh*t.

What the hell happened? But at least her dad was better but what did she do? I went to the kitchen eyes swollen and red. Picking it mums favourite beverage, I took it upstairs and started drinking, it calmed me down but I still felt empty and lonely. I texted him.

Jay, I don't know what she did but can I come over &u have a cndm?

Next door was silent, as they were at the hospital and so if he's there I'll take it, I feel so bad and my heart aches but I needed someone and I didn't have Emma to talk to.
