Chapter eight- betrayal

Emily's POV

I woke up with heavy breathing in my ear and strong muscular weight next to me, remembering what I did last night, I felt so bad that I did this to my best friend. Leaning over him I checked the time and it read 6:30am , I suddenly shot up and got my clothes when I remembered my parents didn't know I was out of the house. Last night was amazing with Jared but I still have a banging headache with all the drinking yesterday. At least today was Saturday and no school for us.

Finally when I was fully clothed, I stepped out of the balcony and rushed home.I quickly got back to bed checking my phone in the process, I signed when I hadn't any tests from Emma but only from Tristen.

I know you need cheering up so I'll pick you up at 2 today! Ily

My heart ached that I cheated on him but I put it aside and tried to get back to sleep but then I got a text from Jared. I shot up and read:

You already left? Why so early? No one can know about what happened btw!

I laughed at his text and wrote Wasn't plannin to anyway! and drifted off to sleep.

Emma POV

My dad was getting released in a few weeks so I had that to look forward too, other than that I lost my best friend. I missed Jared too. I knew Lily was going to do something but I didn't think she would go this far. I gave Jared a miss call and headed off home to get a nice hot shower and then take a nap so my mum could swap afterwards.

I took my time in the bathroom thinking how my life got worse in these few days, all since I started talking to Him. It wasn't fair to blame it on him but it was since he came into my life. I changed into some comfortable pyjamas and went to sleep.

A few hours passed by when I woke up at 3:45, so I got a good 8 hours sleep. Brushing my teeth, I went downstairs to get some brunch and ate in silence. The quietness of the house was killing me, I longed to have my brother and my parents here. I went back upstairs to get my phone and found two messages.

From Chaseyyy Wasey:

I heard what happened to dad, will be at home by 6pm, love you bby sis<3

From JJ:

I'm sorry about what happened yesterday, I should have let you explain, talk to u later.

I couldn't wait to see Chase, I missed him so much. But I couldn't believe it, he actually wanted to talk although I really wanted to hear his voice but at least he wanted to talk. I got changed into a pair of ripped wash jeans and a hoodie with my Jordan's, I grabbed my phone and brushed my hair. I arrived at the hospital at 4:30 and swapped with my mother letting her know that my brother was coming home soon, she promised that dad would be fine on his own and that we should make dinner for him, I was hesitant at first but then I let it go.

After my mum showered, she came down and made his favourite lasagne while I did the salad and laid the table. When it was five past 6, the doorbell rang and I ran to get it. I opened the door and leaped into his open arms, taking in his aftershave, I missed him so much!

"Hey! You've gone heavier, what have you been feeding her mom!" He yelled. After he put me down, I slapped him and he went into my mum's , my mum still laughing.

"Hey! Leave her alone, she's not fat okay!" My mum defending me. He shrugged,"I didn't say she's fat!"

"Yeah well, you intended it!" I stuck my tongue out at him childishly. He grumbled something under his breath and joined the table. "I missed this, you two ganging up on me, I miss dad, he would have helped." He chuckled slightly.

"I'm sure he would have stuck up for his dear little daughter if he heard you called me fat!" I exaggerated putting my hand on my heart. He laughed and mum and him made conversation while I zoned out.

"So I was thinking to go see Liam first and then I'll go to the hospital and visit Dad?" He said finishing his last piece. My throat became dry, I didn't tell mum that we weren't friends anymore.

"No, no I think you should go see dad, he asked for you yesterday!" I suggested. I didn't want them too involved if we weren't. Mum could sense something was wrong but I'd only tell her after Chase was gone so he didn't have to worry. He nodded finally and went out of the door. While cleaning up , I told mum everything that happened and she said something about Lily maybe threatening them but I didn't care, she should still be there for me but she wasn't.

"Just take it easy, I'm sure Emily isn't that type of person. Promise me you'll talk to me if you need me." She said in a soothing voice. I nodded, embracing her and then headed upstairs. The doorbell rang when I was on the last step. It was probably one of my mums friends.

"Emma! Jared's here to speak to you! Oh come inside lovey, it's quite chilly today." My mum shouted. My heart stopped! I thought he would call.
