"You guys know One Direction?" I yelled in excitement. The girls looked at me and smiled.

"Not exactly... We know all about them... But we don't know them personally. Well most of us." Sofie said, glancing at Naomi in the process. Naomi looked down at her feet, and twirled her wavy hair in between her dainty fingers.

"Sofie, he's in the past. I've forgotten all about him." Naomi said looking at her friend with an emotionless face. Her face hid her emotions, but her eyes told me a different story.

"But you two were best friends! You can't seriously just forget all about him. Plus, you’re going to have to see him in two days, Naomi. You are coming with us to the concert, and will be coming with us backstage. No buts and no excuses." Samantha exclaimed as she placed her hands on both of Naomi's shoulders.

"I don't have to talk to him backstage." Naomi said as she pretended to play with her hands. It was obvious this was a conversation she was not very comfortable discussing.

"No! Jimmy protested!" Carter yelled as she punched her fist in the air. "You will talk to him. And you two will be best friends again. Do you hear me?" Naomi just shook her head, not bothering to use words as an argument.

"Wait. You’re going to meet One Direction?" I yelled, excitement running through my veins.

"Yeah. In two days were going to their concert here in Wolver Hampton." Sofie said smiling like an idiot. I was about to say something, when Carter spoke first.

"Hey! You never told us your name." Carter said.

"My name's Felicity... Felicity Payne." I said quietly. The girls gasped and stared at me.

"Wait... where have I heard that name before?" Naomi shouted, and then ran over to a laptop sitting on top of a wooden desk in the corner of the room we were in. The girls and I followed her, not speaking a word. The room fell silent, only the sound of Naomi's fingers tapping against the keys could be heard. After about a good twenty minutes, Naomi gasped and pointed her finger at the screen. "I found it!"

I looked at the screen to see a picture of a little girl smiling. She had strawberry blonde hair that framed her small baby face in waves, and big blue eyes. I immediately recognized her as the girl in my flashback; this was a picture of me before I was kidnapped. I read through the article, my eyes scanning through the words on the screen. This was an article about my kidnapping. They described Hank and I perfectly. The girls look at the screen, then at me, and then back at the screen again.

"If you’re really her, where is this bird birthmark you have?" Carter asked me, her eyes looking at me skeptically. I carefully lifted the right arm sleeve of my shirt, wincing from the extreme pain in my left arm, and brushed my finger against the brown birthmark shaped like a bird. A blue bird to be exact. I turned towards the girls and showed them the mark, and accidentally flashed the word scum that was engraved in my left arm.

"You really are her!" Sofie exclaimed.

"What the heck was that on your arm?" Samantha yelled, rushing over to me and flipping my left arm over. I winced and sucked in a breath as her fingers grasped around the engraved area.

"Nothing." I said in a low voice. I really didn't want to get all emotional with this.

"Who did this to you? The man who kidnapped you? Was he the one who did all of this to you?" Sofie asked me in a soft voice, as her eyes scanned over the many cuts and bruises that covered my arm.

"Yes. He did this all to me. But he had help, his son did this too." I said in a small voice. I felt my eyes begin to prickle, and slowly small drops cascaded down my bruised face. My bottom lip quivered, as one by one flashbacks of my many beatings popped into mind. Over and over I watched them, hearing the same words being repeated. Worthless. Ugly. Unloved. Scum.

"Hey. Shh, its okay." Naomi said as she stroked my arm softly. I began to sob; I couldn't hold it in any longer. These last few days I've been crying out all the feelings I'd been bottling up for years. I tried to be strong, but I always broke. Then, I began to pour out my story. About my memory of my kidnapping, to my life with the Jones', to the many physical beatings I received from Hank and Tony, and the many verbal beatings I received from Margret. I told them about how I was locked up in the house for fifteen years. How I lived in an attic. And how I never had any friends, or anyone who loved me for those cruel fifteen years. Word by word, the story slipped from my tongue. Tears splashed down my face, and most of the story I choked on my words. Finally, I told them about my escape, and my search for Liam and my family. At the end, I looked up to see them all surrounding me with wide eyes and open mouths. One by one they ran to me and flung their arms around me.

"They will never lay a hand on you again, I promise you." Carter said as she smiled at me.

"And if it helps, we will be your friends." Sophie said to me with a small smile.

"Thank you." I whispered. I felt another set a fresh tears stream down my face, but I held back the sob that as making it's way up my throat.

"Hey. Shh. Your safe now. You can live here with me for now, if you'd like." Naomi said as she stroked my arm once more. She was really good at comforting people. I looked up at her and gave her a small smile.

"Thank you." Was the only words I seemed to be able to say. I couldn't believe how nice these people were being to me. I mean, I looked terrible, with bruises, dirt, cuts, and dry blood caking my body. My hair was a greasy mess, reaching my middle back. I hadn't had Margret cut my hair in awhile, and hadn't showered in about a month. I probably smelled horrid.

"Let's get you cleaned up. First, why don't you shower and get all the dirt and blood off. Then we can worry about your injuries. And tomorrow, we are going shopping. We need to get you some clothes for the concert! Right girls?" Samantha stated. Naomi, Carter, and Sofie smiled at me and nodded their heads.

"Wait... concert this saturday?" I asked confused.

"Yeah! You're coming with us." Carter said smiling at me.

"You have a brother to see." Sofie said smiling.
