"Naomi, can I talk to you for a second. Please?" I heard a familiar irish accent ask. I turned my head, a pair of blue eyes that matched my own coming into my vision. Those were the eyes I've seen so many times, for as long as I could remember. The eyes of my childhood best friend.

*Flash Back*

"You can't catch me!" a young irish girl with wavy brown hair teased, her blue eyes sparkling with happiness as she ran around. Her light blue sun dress flowed behind her, her bow keeping her hair in tact. The little girl ran in between the jungle gym, and young dark haired boy chasing after her, waving his arms in attempt to catch her.

"Naomi! I already tagged you!" the dark haired boy whined in his adorable Irish accent, his breathing becoming heavy as he ran after the girl.

"No you didn't, Niall!" the girl yelled over her shoulder, continuing to weave through the many bars and parts to the play area. She stopped for a second, turning to see where the boy was. She yelped as she saw how close he was, and began to run, her head glancing over her shoulder. Not watching where she was going, she tripped over her own two feet, her body clashing to the ground. She landed on the ground with a thud, her dressing flipping over her head, revealing her underwear.

"Look everyone! Naomi wears underwear with frogs on it! What a baby!" A little girl with pigtails yelled, many children joining in with her, all pointing and laughing at the young girl on the ground. Little Naomi pulled her dress down, her face flustered. A few tears trickled down her cheeks, and she bit her lip to stop herself from crying.

"What's the matter with wearing frog underwear, Charlotte? Frogs are cool! Anyone who doesn't agree is a baby!" Young Niall stated, walking over towards Naomi, and helping her up. The girl with the pigtails face flashed red, and she look down at her feet. Niall grabbed onto Naomi's hand, and pulled her away from the group of kids.

"Thank you, Niall." Naomi said, pulling Niall into a big hug.

"Your welcome Naomi." Niall replied with a smile.

"Do you promise we will be best friends forever?" Naomi asked.

"I promise." Niall replied, sticking out his pinkie. Naomi entwined the two pinkies, smiling up at her best friend. Niall then tapped her shoulder, then began to run away. "Your it!" He called over his shoulder. Naomi took off running after him, her hair bouncing up and down, and her dress billowing behind her in the breeze.

I looked down at my feet, the memory of Niall and I when we were younger playing through my head. I avoided any eye contact with Niall, afraid of any more memories deciding to come back into mine. I didn't want to talk to him, let alone think about when we used to be best friends. He had his chance, and he decided to forget about me. After many months, I knew it was time for me to forget about him too.

"Naomi, please. Just give me five minutes." Niall pleaded, his voice showing his desperation. I looked at him, my eyes scanning over his expression, my lip sticking out as I began to pout. I knew if I refused to talk to him, he would find some way to make me. Niall would find some way, he always did.

"You have five minutes." I spoke, not daring to make eye contact with him once again. I looked back at Samantha, Sofie, and Carter, all three of them giving me supporting smiles. Niall smiled at me, but I didn't return the favor. I followed him down the hall, walking into an empty hospital room. I stood standing by the door, ready to leave at a sudden notice. I looked down at my feet, keeping my eyes concentrated on the tiles bellow me.

"Naomi, please look at me." Niall sighed. I heard his footsteps approaching, and felt two strong hands place themselves on my shoulders.

"What do you want. I said you have five minutes. That's it." I snapped, my eyes still transfixed on the floor.

"Naomi please look at me. We need to talk this out. I made a mistake I know, but just hear me out." Niall calmly spoke, placing his hand under my chin and tilting my head upward.

"We have nothing to talk about. You made a promise to me, and you broke it. For ten months, our friendship didn't seem to mean anything to you, so why should it now?" I stated, moving his hand away, and walking towards the door.

"Naomi, please. Let me explain. You would understand, just let me explain." Niall pleaded, his hand grasping my wrist. I looked at him, but knew I had to be strong. I pulled away from his grip, and kept going towards the door.

"Goodbye Niall." I opened the door, my knuckles turning white from my tight grip. I walked out, turning my head around just before I closed the door. I caught a glimpse of something that made my heart ache. I felt a few tears slide down my face, thinking about the fact that I was the reason for Niall's tears just moments ago.

I walked down the hall Niall and Naomi headed down. I wanted to make sure Naomi was ok, and to make sure nothing bad had happened. Usually when bad things happen, Naomi resolves to running away and icolating herself away from everyone to think. The sounds of sniffling and muffled moans filled my ears, and my head turned towards the noise. My eyes widened at the sight of a figure at the end of the hallway, and I quickened my pace, worried that the figure was Naomi. My speed walking turned into a run, my brown hair whizzing around my head. I reached the figure, taking notice of the familiar head of blonde hair.

"Niall, are you okay? What happened?" I asked sincerely, sliding down onto the floor next to Niall, and turning my head to look at him. Niall looked up at me, his big blue eyes red and puffy, tear marks covering his cheeks.

"She hates me. She won't even talk to me, or listen to me." Niall cried, burying his head in his hands.

"Hey. No she doesn't. Naomi is stubborn, but has a reason to be upset. She cried about you for months. You were her best friend, and you claimed to not know who she was. You never contacted her, she thought you forgot all about her." I said, remembering all the days Naomi would run to me crying. It broke my heart to see her so upset, she was always so happy and joyful.

"I didn't do it purposely. I had a reason for everything. If only she would listen!" Niall yelled angrily, slamming his hands onto the ground. I placed a hand on his shoulder, calming him down.

"Could you tell me your story? Maybe I could help convince her." I said softly. He looked up at me, nodding his head and taking deep breaths to calm himself down. Niall cleared his throat, and then the words flowed out of his mouth.
