Peter's POV
I threw on the suit and climbed out the window. She is pretty far so I have time...Think Peter. How do I talk to her? I can barely talk to her normally in school. I swung in between the buildings. It wasn't the nicest night to be out, cloudy and frigid. Do I just waltz up there 'Hey Y/n hope you're not mad'? No that's stupid. This shouldn't be so difficult. I swung low to the ground. Should I bring her something? My thoughts were interrupted, is it raining? Shit, this isn't good. She wouldn't want to see me, in the rain... I was so close to her apartment though. Like a block away. I should just wing it. I do that all the time. Once I made it to her apartment. The rain made it almost impossible to stick to the wall. "I really hope she's home," I mumbled under my breath. Slipping off the side of the building. I knocked on the window before slipping of few floors down. "No no," I swung back up to the right floor. The curtains to the window moved. Y/n peered around. Do I poke my head out for her to see I'm here? Yeah, I should. I look like a stalker here in the middle of the night outside a girls window. I peeked my head at the bottom part of the window. She jumped back at first. I forgot I was wearing my mask, to be honest with you. She opened the window slightly, the rain poured into her room. "What are you doing here?" she whispered. I started to slip a little bit. "I came to check in on you," "You shouldn't be here, they'll kill you," she said looking behind her. "A lot of people want me dead, your parents are just an addition to the long list," "Look I'll meet you up at the roof, we can talk there," she shut the window on me. "But Y/n it's-" ugh no point she's already on her way up there. I swung up to meet her, I sat there for a bit. The raindrops were soaked through my suit. I heard the door to the roof open and shut violently. "What are you doing here, seriously?" Y/n walked over to me. We both stood there in the rain. "I wanted to make sure you're doing ok," "My parent's hate you, they blame you for my brother's arrest. They will kill you first and then me if they find you here," she whispered looking around her. Making sure no one was up here with us. It was pitch black and pouring rain. "Ok Y/n hear me out," "What wait... say that again?" she asked getting up close to me. Oh shit, she doesn't know it's me...I just said her name to. Great, I've really messed myself up this time. "What?" I questioned. "You said my name, how do you know my name?" "Oh um-" Shit think, what do I say? "Y-You told me your name when I met you," "No, I'm pretty sure I was too pissed to tell you anything," she piped her voice up. I really don't want to argue with her. "Ok so I know your name why does that mean anything," "It means you know me," I choked up. "Ok I do, this isn't the first time I've spoken to you," she put her hand on my shoulder. "You came all the way here, to 'check up on me'" she put air quotes up. "You might as well tell me who you are," "I can't do that Y/n" "Why not? I'm not believing your bullshit that you're just here to check up on me," "I can't tell you because that's putting you in danger," "What is some criminal going to come after me?" she mocked. "Yes exactly," "I'm fine with that, I have a brother who's in jail already," My heart broke a little bit. I really want to tell her. But I can't. I can't do that. What if she tells the school. "I care about you, if you know who I am that puts you on the front lines, The last thing I need is you to get hurt because of me," She stayed quiet. The rain trickled down her cheeks. It was hard to tell if those were tears or not. Her hair was damp and so were her clothes. "Whoever is after you they can't hurt me as much as you have," she snapped. Her eyes skimmed past me, then staring directly at me. "How have I hurt you?" "You say you care about me, but it's hard for me to feel the same if you're behind a mask," her eyes drooped to the ground. I sighed. She has a point. How could I care for her, and expect her to feel the same? "If you're willing to take that risk be my guest," she looked back up at me. "But you can't say anything...it could put both mine and your family in danger," "I won't...I-I promise," she stammered. I was hesitant. I have to do this to get her to trust me. If she stabs me in the back... I pulled the soaking wet mask off my head. She stared at me for a while. "Peter? Y-You're Spiderboy?" "It's Spider-Spiderman," She smiled widely. "I don't know any man who would leave a girl webbed to the wall," she giggled. "Hey I didn't--" Y/n pulled me really close to her. It all happened really fast. She slammed her soft lips into mine. The feeling sent my brain into a tailspin. My heart pounded out of my chest. I swear...I wouldn't be surprised if she could hear my heart racing. I closed my eyes. Not that I hoped this would be over. I was nervous...The heat of embarrassment hit me like a truck. The cold air mixed with the rain actually felt nice for once. My eyes drooped shut. What lasted minutes felt like an eternity.I pulled away...deprived of air. Both of us were panting. Her lips were plump. "W-what was that for?" I stammered. She pushed a piece of my hair behind my ear. "You don't know how long I've wanted to do that for," I was speechless. Y/n wanted to kiss me? "And to shut you up, I knew you were going to try and apologize...again," A light disrupted both of us. I put my mask back on my head. It could be someone... "Y/n? What are you doing out in the- Oh my god!" "Mom- I just came out here to talk, to find out about Micheal," she was lying. Only I knew that. Her mother pushed past her. "You-You took my son away from me," the woman shoved me. I let it go, first of all, that's Y/n's mother. Second, she isn't too happy with me but she doesn't know who I am. "Y/n why were you talking to him?" her mother shouted. She looked over to me. "Just go, I'll handle this," Y/n mouthed. I nodded. I ran off the roof, swinging away. My brain still couldn't process all that just happened.
