My hands gripped onto the cold metal handle as i pulled it towards my body letting it flow behind me as i stepped inside. My ears automatically adjusted to the sound of loud teens. A sound that i haven't missed one bit. The only similar sound i heard even close to this, this summer came from Alissa, Kian, and I. Which wasn't even as close as i thought it was.
The two normal teachers, which consisted of the principle and the guidance counselor, stood in the middle of the hallway forming kids into long lines. They then stared to hand out the student schedules that had locker numbers and combos on it as well as our classes.
"Looks like everyone is happy to be back" she chuckled. I watched as her eyes scanned all the long lines of young teenagers. We stepped forward due to the line moving.
I suddenly felt a strong arm wrap around my shoulders. I looked up and saw a smiling Kian with his other arm wrapped around Alissa.
"lady's!" he said in a smooth voice as if he was one of those jocks in the movies. i giggled as did Alissa.
"hi Kian" i said with a smile as he looked down on me. We then continued to move up.
"hi cutie. You guys excited?" he said in a questioning voice as i fixed the straps on my backpack. Alissa smirked at me since his choice of the word "cutie" directed to me.
Kian has always had a crush on me. I mean, we've all known each other since we were born. All three of our moms were best friends. They met in high school and were friends literally forever. When they all got pregnant around the same time they were so happy. At least that's what my mom says. I love Alissa's mother, shes like a second mom to me. I've always been closer to her mom then my own. But Kian's mom... I've never meet her. When she was giving birth to Kian she passed away. Therefore Kian's dad has to work really hard to provide for them. Our family's have always helped them though.
We moved up and Alissa grabbed her sheet exchanging a quick 'thank you' with the principle. She went back and stood with me while her eyes examined her schedule.
The principle then shouted a large and loud "Next" signaling for Kian to come up and get his sheet. He walked up to her and told her his name.
I looked up to kian with a small smile since he looked so beyond happy to be back in this place. He's always loved school with a passion. I have know Fucking idea why, but he does. While I was looking at him something in the distance caught my eye. Soon enough everyone was whispering about this mysterious thing in the distance. I looked over and saw something very rare in our school.
There were two new kids. Twins. One stood a little bit taller than the other. Not even and inch though. He had dark brown hair that had a few highlights of blond and some streaks of lighter brown. The other one though, he had his head down which made it hard to see his face. He wore a Dark purple sweatshirt with what looked like it was supposed to have white tire marks on the left peck. He looked...worried I guess you could say.
"Young lady?" I looked up and saw that the counselor who was trying to hand me my schedule but was frustrated due to my lack of attention.
"Oh I'm so sorry" I apologized as I took my schedule from her hands as she rolled her eyes at me and shoo'd me away.
I quickly walked to Alissa and kian as I made a scared face referring to the fact that she was mad at me. They laughed and made a face back.
Once my feet finally were in front of them Alissa snatched my schedule out of my delicate hands. I watched as her eyes scanned the schedules then her eyes widened.
"what?" i said being eager to know what caused her sudden mood change.
Her mouth formed into an o shape and her face turned redder than a tomato.
"We only have five classes together out of nine!" she lightly yelled.
"hey at least we have some together!" I laughed trying my best to lighten the mood.
She glared at me while kian laughed. She handed me my schedule back and the bell rang signaling for us to go to first period.
"Okay well we better go" I sighed as we all walked to first period, one of the only periods we had together.
Man, this day should be interesting.
