Thank you for reading my story. The story is inspired by a Hindu Mythological character Anjana but all the events in this story are purely fiction. I don't claim my story to be historically correct. I don't want to hurt any religious sentiment so read the story with open mind as if you read a fiction story. Thank you again. I love your positive criticizing.
सत्य -सत्यमेवेश्वरो लोके सत्ये धर्मः सदाश्रितः । सत्यमूलनि सर्वाणि सत्यान्नास्ति परं पदम् ॥
( Truth is the only God in this world. Dharma, the cosmic law also depends on truth. Truth is the root of all the wealth. Nothing is greater than the truth.)
"Where am I?"
"Why is it all dark?"
"I.......I can't see anything."
"It is so cold here. I can't even hear any voice. Am I alone here?"
"Anybody here?" She shouted.
The panic in her voice was quite evident. Her shrill voice in the lonely night was shredding the stillness of the forest. A forest that never slept was quietly witnessing her plea but was reciprocating nothing.
"Is anybody here?"
"Can you hear me?"
"Please, can anyone hear me?"
Her every shout, every entreaty was engulfed by the darkness. It was a black hole, a black hole that left nothing behind, a black hole that was eager to take along anything and everything that come in its way.
She felt as if it is her attainment, the penance she has no idea for what. She tried again to call for help.
"What is this place?"
"Why is it dark?"
"Where am I?"
"Is anybody here?"
Still nothing. He shouting was going to deaf ears. There was nothing, not even the sound of crickets or howls of wolfs. It was all quiet. A pin drop silence. The forest was observing the whole episode as if it has no life, as if it's existence is a lie.
She shivered.
What happened?
"How did I reach here?"
"I was.....I was.....I, wait... I can't remember anything."
"Who am I?"
"What is my name?"
She felt a sharp pain in her head that gradually spread into her whole body. She tried to surpass the pain but...
"Oh, my head. Why am I having this unbearable pain in my head? It is all confusing."
She moaned loudly because of unbearable pain. It was beyond her capabilities to endure the physical and mental agony right now.
"Oh God, please someone, anyone, anyone here......." she shouted again.
Again there was no reply. She was all alone there in the dark. Not even the sound of the blowing wind, nothing..........
She was clueless about the things around her. She couldn't see anything, she couldn't hear anything, she couldn't even remember anything. It was like everything stopped for her. She didn't know what to do and where to go.
