"असंशयं महाबाहो मनो दुर्निग्रहं चलम् | अभ्यासेन तु कौन्तेय वैराग्येण च गृह्येते ||"
("It is undoubtedly very difficult to curb the restless mind, but it is possible by constant practice and by detachment.")
The sun has not yet started spreading its golden, vermillion rays to the sky. The cocks are still sleeping curled up in their feathers. The birds were still trying to steal a few minutes of sleep before they spread their wings and fly in search of foods.
It was the "Usha Prahar" and a weird stillness was evident in the atmosphere. There were the faint lights of night torches fighting for their existence in the night sky.
Anjana dressed properly and stormed towards the training ground. She knew, even the sun is lazy enough to come out of its deep sleep but...but she has to work out. Now was not the time to remain sluggish. Her feet were gaining speed as she approached near the training ground.
"Ugh..hmm..yeah..."
She heard the faint sound of groans coming from the ground. Anjana smiled. She knew she is going to meet the other crazy like her there. Her smile was compelling. She felt her heart melt by the sound of the person working at this odd hour. It could be only him. No one in the tribe was as frenzy as him.
She felt a spurt of energy spreading from her feet to her entire body. Her blood starts pumping fast out of anticipation. She knew it is the time to gain the next medal to her fighting cap.
Yes, I am ready. She took a deep breath and entered the training ground.
As expected Keval was there moving his body in the frizziest way. He was lost in his own stances as if dancing to a mysterious tune. His eyes were shining in the dark like a wild nocturnal. He was really in a trance; ergo, he did not hear Anjana standing there watching him in awe.
Anjana was watching the pearl of sweat glistening in his forehead. His toned muscles and fit abs were a sight to behold. Anjana blushed on her own thought. She knew it was a fangirl moment for her but, what is wrong in a tiny peep. She smiled and cleared her throat.
"Ahem...ahem..."
Keval suddenly stopped and turned around. He saw Anjana was standing there and watching him with the spark in her eyes.
"Like what you see kiddo" Keval winked and grinned.
Anjana felt as if she is caught stealing precious things. She blushed and scratched her head.
"Suprabaht (good morning) Keval, today is the day you promised to start my real fight training. I am tired of stretching and do muscle exercise. I think I am fit enough to move on to the next level. What's say?" Anjana was very determined when she spoke.
"That I see. You are here at this hour is the biggest proof that you are ready for the next step." Keval smiled and patted her head.
"Today we will start meditation for an hour. Just sit in the grass and let the sun pour it's first ray on you. Accept it; grasp it like a thirsty animal slurp the water in the desert. Imbibe the warmness of the sun in your heart and let it dilate inside your entire body."
"The first rays of the sun brings immense energy and this is good for your body. Listen to the chirping of the birds, the distant sound of the running water from the waterfall, whizzing of the insects."
