You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never consider yourself to be the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty. - Bhagavad Gita, Chapter II, Verse 47
The Next day sometimes at evening
Ramya entered the room to check the girl. She was still asleep.
"How long she is going to sleep. It has been four days. Even the medicine the Ojha is giving not working?" Ramya muttered to herself.
She was clearly annoyed by the girl. She had to take care of this sleeping mystery daily. Devi was constantly pestering her about the girl.
"Devi...I don't know what is she thinking. Before that, she never allowed any outsiders in our tribe. Everyone who tried to enter was executed without a second thought. What is so special about this girl? Why is Devi so anxious about a stranger girl?"
Ramya was in deep thought when she heard a weak voice.
"Aah. Water........"
Ramya looked and saw the girl trying to open her eyes. Ramya rushed to her.
"Wait, do not move, I am getting water," Ramya spoke.
She went to fetch the water from the earthen pot kept at the corner of the room. She again sighed seeing the pot. She had to change the water every 12 hours even though the pot was full. It was Devi's strict instruction to always keep the fresh water in this room.
Thankfully she obeyed Devi. Otherwise, she had to rush outside to bring the fresh water. And also she had to bear Devi's scolding as well.
She poured the water into the earthen cup kept near the pot and brought it to the girl.
"Are you okay? Here is the water. Drink it slowly. Take a small-small sip." Said Ramya to the girl.
The girl lifted her eyes and saw Ramya. She was about to ask something when Ramya quickly handed her the glass of water and told, "please drink the water first." You and I both have a lot to talk but please gain some strength first. If something happens to you God knows what Devi will do to me." Ramya shivered imagining the angry Devi.
The girl took a few sips of water and took a deep breath.
"Where am I?" She asked weakly.
"You are in a sacred Kunjar tribe. I am Ramya, but who are you?" Ramya asked eyeing the girl curiously.
"I...I don't know who am I? I couldn't remember anything. But last, what I remember, I was in some mysterious forest alone. H....how come I reach here?" The girl asked Ramya.
Ramya watched the girl amused. Has she lost her senses? She doesn't know her name. Has she struck her head somewhere?
"What should I do now? Devi is also not here right now. She is in the temple meditating and no one dares to disturb her while she meditates."
