"(Y/N), run!" I heard my mother scream as I watched my house crumble to the ground. My mother was trapped inside, but she wanted me to run. I tried to turn back to help her, but my legs had other plans. Without warning, I bolted in the other direction. I ran as far and as fast as I could, but I could still hear my mother yelling for me to run. I stopped and looked back as she went quiet, but all I saw was a burning pile of rubble. Mother? Did she get out? When no one came out, I began to get nervous. Mother?! Please be okay.
I fell to my knees after what felt like hours and I stared in horror as the remains of my home turned to ash. The sun was just starting to rise and that's when I saw him. Near the ashes of my home, standing away from the flames, a man dressed in gold stood. He glanced back at me with piercing red eyes and a devilish grin on his face.
Every thought I had, in that moment, was erased from my mind as I stared back at the man. His eyes were like ice, so cold and froze me to my core. Fear pulsed through me as he turned to completely face me and I saw his entire face. I gulped and tried to speak, but no words came out. The man vanished into a cloud of golden smoke.  Who was that man? Why was he staring at me like that? Did he cause that fire?
