𝟏𝟏|𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒅

You know those moments where you're completely petrified and start assuming the worst? Well, that's me right now. I am not mentally prepared to meet Blake's mom. To make things even better, Abbie might be home as well since uni is on break.

Now, most people would be like why is it a big deal that Abbie is there? That part isn't nearly as bad. I've met her on several occasions. It's more of her telling Nat I was there. Obviously, that would cause chaos in my household.

Then we have the other problem, Soulla. Despite her daughter and my sister being best friends, I've never once met her. There was never a reason for me to met her. Things have changed.

Blake can tell I'm overthinking things way too much. He puts his hand on mine and tries to calm me down.

"I promise everything will be okay. She won't say anything to your family. She already knows how Brad is," he assures me.

I give him a nervous smile as we walk into his house. His mom opens the door before he can even reach the handle.

"It's so lovely to meet you! I'm Soulla! I've heard great things about you!" she beams.

I give Blake a confused look. Was she expecting me? Does he talk about me to his mom? How should I feel about this?

All these thoughts run through my head as I say, "Hello! It's a pleasure to meet you! I hope Blake has said all good things!"

Blake looks over at me with blush rising to his cheeks. Aw, that's adorable! I wish I could get that out video.

We enter the house, Blake obviously still bothered by his mom. He announces, "We're going to work on our project upstairs."

"Don't do anything stupid," Soulla resounds back as she makes her way into the kitchen.

Blake rushes me up the stairs to his bedroom. He is basically dragging me up the stairs.

"Someone's in a hurry," I laugh.

His cheeks turn rosy again while replying, "Well, who knows what else shes going to say that will embarrass me. Plus we do need to finish this project."

"Hmm okay. If you say so Richardson," I tease.

He laughs and rolls his eyes, "Well, one of the reasons I guess you could say."
