"Tell me what happened at Richardson's," Jacee commands.
"Okay! Damn girl! Give me a second to get things out of my book bag!" I put my hands up in surrender.
I set down my textbooks in the compartment. I slowly put my lunchbox in my locker, not wanting to spill the beans. Then like a sloth, I took an eternity putting my jacket on a hook.
"Oh my gosh!" She complains.
"Someone's grouchy," I roll my eyes but continue, "So basically I went over and we were working out our project. By we, I really mean me. He was trying to distract me. Then out of nowhere he said he wanted to try something. Next thing I know I'm kissing Blake Richardson."
Jacee has a shocked face which surprises me. She already knew this was going to happen, so why is she so surprised?
I give her a confused look to which she points behind me. I turn around, petrified it's going to be my brother. Low and behold, it's only Blake.
He smirks, "Someone talking about me." He then wraps his hands around my waist.
"What, no!" I try to play it off.
"You guys are too cute. I think I'm going to barf," Jacee says.
Blake smiles at me and rests his chin on my head. I enjoy the moment before realizing I'm at school.
I try to nonchalantly push Blake off of me, but that doesn't end up going as planned. I instead receive a very confused look.
"What was that for?" Blake asks with a frown.
I state the obvious, "We're in school. That means Brad can easily see us or one of his friends can. And of course since it's high school, rumors can spread like wildfire."
He nods his head and releases his grip on me. Jacee gawks over how adorable we are before excusing herself to her class. This leaves me and Blake alone.
"So, I was kinda wondering what your thoughts were on this whole sneaking out thing," he plays with his rings.
I pause and think before speaking, "Well, after lots of consideration, I thought we could test it out under one condition."
"What may that be?" He questions with a raised eyebrow.
"I want to know the exact reason why Brad hates you," I say firmly, crossing my arms with a serous expression.
He sighs and looks at the ground, "I'll tell you, one day."
