Chapter 25

Gillian isn't happy with the fact that she can't see Matt anymore. Hayes and the boys are finally home again and that made Gillian a little happier.

Gillian and Hayes have just put Logan, Layla, and Madison to sleep and Lacy is sleeping on the couch. Gillian and Hayes are in their room as Gillian is reading a book.

"UGH DAMNIT!" Gillian yells as she finishes the book.

"Excuse you, there are kids around" Hayes goes and kisses Gillian's forehead.

"No there aren't" she says with anger.

"You'll wake them" Hayes says but Gillian doesn't smile. "What's wrong, Hun?" he asks and Gillian looks at the book and then back at him.

"Hayes this book ends so terribly. They have two kids and Alison cheats on Chase with Nick and so Chase and Alison, the get in a huge fight. Someone was out to get Chase and so they shot him and Alison runs back to Chase crying but she ends up getting hit by a car and it's just so terrible!" Gillian whines as she tells Hayes about the terrible ending of her book. "The kids go to Nick who wants nothing to do with them though, isn't that screwed up? Luckily it tells their funeral and everyone's reactions but it's terrible" she tells him. He looks at her and laughs.

"Hey Hayes?" she asks. He looks at her again with his adoring blue eyes. "Did you see that rumor about the Magcon Haters trying to kill all of us?" Gillian asked. She's been worried since she saw it all over Twitter. Hayes nods.

"Don't worry. We always get death threats, they won't hurt us" he says as he kisses Gillian's forehead again and walks out of the room.

"Gillian, we've been through so much. When we die, I want this to go to the kids. So if we die, give it to our kids" Hayes says. He put a sticky note on the cover of the book saying "Give To Kids When We Die" and Gillian looked to Hayes.

"So do I read this now and then when I'm about to die or you're about to die, give it to the kids?" Gillian asks and Hayes nods. "We won't die for a while Hayes so don't worry about it. What's in the book anyway?" Gillian asks.

"I don't know, memories of us, of us with the kids, how we met, how we found out about them, etcetera" Hayes tells her. "The kids are asleep, want me to go across the street and get stuff for us to make and eat? I'm hungry" Hayes says and Gillian nods.

"I'll wait by the door because I can't leave the kids here" Hayes nods.

"I love you, Gillian" he says and then kisses Gillian. This has been their routine every time one of them leaves the room the past 3 months.

"I love you too, Hayes" Gillian says and he runs out the door. Gillian goes towards the book and starts reading through some of it.

Three gun shots go off and Gillian runs back to the door to make sure Hayes is safe before she makes her and her kids safe.

Unfortunately Hayes isn't sage because he's lying in the middle of the road. "HAYES" Gillian screams and runs out the door. She starts to call 911 but she suddenly feels a sharp pain in her ribs and she calls to the ground in pain as a car has hit her. Another sharp pain and she's dead.

The boys heard the gun shots, the car screeching, and another gun shot. They call 911, I'm sure multiple people have. The boys all ran out to see what happen and when they saw their best friends in the middle of the road they ran out all crying and trying to get them to wake up or talk to them. The ambulance comes and the police come. The ambulance doesn't even take Gillian and Hayes to the hospital because they're already dead.

The boys go into Gillian and Hayes house to get the kids. Nash decides that he will take them all. They're packing up all of Gillian and Hayes's things while getting the kids' stuff too.

"Guys, we can't live here anymore, we need to move. I can't stand being in that dining room and the memories of every place throughout the house. I used to love it but I hate it now" Lucy says.

"We can't do that, the kids live here. It will hurt them enough to have to know their parents are dead. We haven't even told them. They're going to want their house. Why am I even packing their stuff? I'll live here with them.

"I lived here as it was, I'll help and I'll live here too" Taylor says.

"Cam?" Lucy asks.

"I can't leave my best friend" Cameron says. They continue to pack since Adrianne is watching all of the kids.

Taylor goes downstairs and finds the book with the sticky note. "Give To Kids When We Die" He picks up the book and starts to read it.

So, kids, this is your dad, Hayes Grier. This book tells you a lot about where you come from and all so read it.

Your mom, Gillian, moved to North Carolina and I lived next to her. We became good friends until we started dating, which you aren't allowed to do until you are 16. We had Logan and Layla first. We were so excited to be having you but we were scared too.

Taylor continued to read the whole book.
