Chapter 3

Today, everyone and I are going to get Layla back. We're going to Mooresville because Mason lives there and that's probably where they are.

We all pile into the car but Lucy and Carter stay home to watch Logan and stay with Lacy. No way am I taking him there. Nash, Cameron, Taylor, Matt, Hayes, and I are all in the car together. Nash is trying to calm Hayes down and Taylor, Cameron, and Matt are ready to get their fighting on but they're staying calm. Nash parks in front of Mason's house.

We all pile out of the car and go up to his door. We don't bother knocking, he barged into my house and now I'm barging into his. I get in and I see Layla laying there on the couch. That's not at all safe.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" Mason asks.

"I'm here to get my daughter back" Hayes growls.

"Your daughter? She's mine" Mason chuckles.

"No she's not" I barge in.

Matt just goes right up to Mason's face. "You think it's alright to do something like that? To barge into someone's home and steal their baby" Matt is trying to keep his cool but I don't know how long he can do that for.

"Well you just barged into my home and she's mine, if you didn't hear me say that already" Matt stands there and breathes heavily.

"You know, I've always been protective of Gillian, we got in a fight one day and she never talked to me again until a few weeks ago" Matt says.

"Great story" Mason laughs and turns around to Layla. He picks her up and that's when Matt stops going to punch him.

"Put my niece down" Nash says, glaring at Mason.

"I'm not your brother" Mason smirks.

"SHE'S NOT YOURS!" Cameron yells. Layla starts to cry and takes almost everything in me to not go punch him and hold her in my arms to stop her crying.

"So where's Hayes's baby, huh?" Mason asks.

"Right there" Taylor points to Layla.

"The other one" Mason glares at Taylor.

"None of your business" I say.

"Oh, mommy steps in" Mason says. "It took me a while and hard work for this baby, I'm not giving it up easily" Mason says.

"Are you f'in kidding me?" I ask "You didn't keep that baby in your stomach 9 months or be there for me when I needed you. Hayes was there. And what hard work? You raped me for her!" I practically scream. He smirks and I shake my head.

"Hey, Mason" some guy says behind him. He turns around.

"Shit" Mason says and turns back to look at me. The guy behind him pulls out his gun and shoots Mason in the back and he falls to the ground. Layla is crying and I scream. Hayes is crying and the boys are all worried but we don't move. The guy runs away and I run over to Layla and Mason. Layla didn't get hit with the bullet but Mason's blood is all over the floor underneath him. I pick up Layla and we all run to the car. We don't bother calling 911, we just drive.

Gillian and Hayes got Layla back! And Mason died.
