''Marshall what about Jamie?''Ashley pointed out while he still held her against the door. He huffed and let her down, but not without giving her one last kiss.  He loved Jamie like he was one of his own, but him being around all the time was going to be a little annoying especially when it comes to having some alone  time with Ashley.

''We're finishing this later ok,'' he pointed out wagging his finger in front of her face. She just smiled reaching up to place a kiss on the top of his nose, which made him scrunch his nose up.

''You're so cute when you don't get what you want,'' Ashley giggle at the strange face Marshall made regarding her action. She left him there as she opened and door and made her way back down the stairs.

''I am not cute,'' he shouted after her, but by the time the words left his lips, Ashley was already down the stairs so she didn't hear a single word from his entire sentence.

After Marshall had recovered from what nearly happened in the nursery and Ashley calling him 'cute,'  he wandered back downstairs to the kitchen. Jamie and Tom no longer had their heads buried in countless textbooks, judging by the laughter coming from the living room he figured they were in there watching TV instead. Ashley was the only one in the kitchen, stood on her tiptoes with one of the cupboards doors open and her hand inside as she tried to grab what she needed out of it. Knowing that she was going  to be struggling a while longer he wandered over so he was behind her and grabbed ahold of the tin of tomatoes she' been reaching for,

''Thanks,''she muttered taking the can out of his grasp and popping it open with the can opener which had been set on the counter just to the left of her. Once opened Marshall watched her as she poured the liquid away down the sink before adding it to whatever she was cooking on the stove.

''What you making?''He asked wrapping his arms around her waist for behind as she stirred the tomatoes in with the wooden spoon.

''Just a little something for the boys,'' she replied turning down the heat and moving to get some plates out to dish the food onto.

''Wait what are we eating?'' He asked noticing the meal Ashley had cooked go straight onto the two plates she'd pulled out, meaning there wasn't anything else left for him or Ashley.

''Who said you were going to be eating anything. You have a whole house across the road and I know for a fact you can cook Mister'' Ashley pointed out, pointing the wooden spoon at him before dumping it in the sink to be washed later, ''dinner,'' she then called and both boys skidded into the room and sat down shovelling the food in as if it would disappear I'd they didn't eat it quick enough.

''Are you trying to get me to cook for you?''Marshall asked following her as she walked towards the living room.

''Maybe or we could just order in because I haven't got much food and need to go shopping,'' Ashley shrugged slumping down onto the sofa and pulling a fluffy cushion towards herself hugging it close.

''Come on,'' Ashley gave Marshall a wide smile as he offered his hand out to pull her back off the sofa, ''I might be able to cook something,'' he added moving into the hallway to grab both their coats off of the hook running along the wall.

''Oh we also need to pick Lizzy up it's Jamie's birthday tomorrow and well I wanna give him her in the morning so could we make a stop at Sarah's before we go to yours. Oh and we could tell her our news,'' Marshall rolled his eyes. How did he Know that there was some hidden agenda behind her wanting him to cook for her and this time it seemed to come in the form of a small dog, who wouldn't stop licking him last time they met. The comment came after they'd said their goodbyes to the boys and just as they were making their way across the driveway to the car.

''I'm guessing if we don't go we're not going to finish what we started earlier are we'' the nod mixed with a grin that Ashley gave him once they'd got situated in his car confirmed the answer he already knew he was going to receive, '' you sure you wanna tell her about being pregnant I mean we just found out, don't you maybe wanna wait until we go to the Doctor or something, make sure you are really pregnant,'' Marshall suggested as he pulled out of her driveway and down the road in the direction of where Sarah lived.

''I thought about it and I was going to say we took a test. I'll probably tell Jamie and other people after we've been to the Doctor,'' Ashley explained, watching Marshall's reaction intently from her position in the passenger seat.

''Fair enough, but I wanna tell my girls and make sure they're going to be ok with it,'' Marshall pipped up after a moment of silence passed over them.

''Sure, it's not like they'll stop me having the baby if they don't like it,'' she muttered, She'd hoped he hadn't heard what she said, but at times Marshall seemed to have the hearing of a bat as he slammed down on the breaks pulling over luckily right in front of Sarah's house.

''I didn't mean it like that Ash,'' Marshall breathed out, unbuckling his seat belt ready to get out, while Ashely did the same.

''Well what did you mean by it then, 'make sure they're going to be ok with it.' I mean what if they aren't, what happens then?''

''Ash you're overthinking things again, just forget it. Let's go see Sarah, pick Lizzy up and then we'll go home and I'll cook us some food I promise,'' Marshall had grabbed her hand and held it running his thumb gently over it as he spoke to try and calm her down a little.

She didn't say anything, instead, she just nodded reaching across the seats to place a small kiss on his lips. That was enough to tell Marshall that things were going to be good, well for now anyway. Now that their little misunderstanding had been put aside, Marshall could prepare for being licked to death again by the small fluffy creature that awaited them behind Sarah's red front door.
