Chapter 5

Beep beep beep
I groaned when I heard the ugly noise of my alarm I just wasn't ready to get up.
Even I'm feeling way better than yesterday I still did not feel 100% good.
But nothing helped so I jumped out of my bed and started my morning routine.
The first things I always do in the morning are opening my windows and stretching.
Then I took a shower and got dressed.
About 20 min later I found myself sitting at the table where everyone else ate breakfast.
"How are you feeling today, princess?" Leo asked.
"Better" I easily replied.
"What are you all doing today?" I asked with the hope that I could so put the attention away from me.
"Nothing I have to do some stuff for school," Aiden said.
"I heard that there is a BBC at the beach today and I probably got to it," Max responded with a smirk on his face.
Fuck you!!! I hate you-you know exactly that I'm still grounded and that I was the person who told you that there is a BBC at the beach!!!!
The others didn't know it yet, at least that's what they told me. But I mean you can never know maybe they're up to something but don't want you to know it right now.

The school day went pretty good.
I got an A of my math homework I made yesterday with Max. And in French, my teacher praised my pronunciation. All in all, it was a good day.
After my last class, Dylan already waited for me at my locker to pick me up. I rolled with my eyes when I saw him.
"How was your day sunshine?" He asked with a smile on his face.
"Pretty good actually, yours?"
"Okay, but can I ask you something?" He said, still smiling.
"Ya of course."
"You would tell me if you had a boyfriend don't you?"
I couldn't help but laugh. He looked quite confused but then laughed with me.
I hoped he would just forget about his question or especially that I didn't give him an answer.

On our way home, we had a carpool karaoke.
When we arrived I jumped out of the car and went straight into my room.
Because I'm still grounded and had to do so much for school I decided to start checking off some things of my to-do list. Around lunchtime, I had done pretty much and I was quite proud of myself.
And to be honest I kind of hoped that when I'm doing now well Aiden would just drop my punishment. Even though it's probably not going to happen but one should never stop hoping.

I went into the kitchen.
In the same second, I was entering everyone stopped talking and stared at me.
"Uhm... what's going on? Did I missed something?" I asked trying to not sound confused and cowed.
"Well.. you got a message from a boy and because of the content of it we want to read the whole conversation so you need to give us your code," Leo said smirking.
I blushed and couldn't move. I need to think quickly and find a way out of this. Shit, what am I going to say?
"Uhh.. well... I can explain-" I started to say but Max interrupted me.
"We don't want an explanation we just want your code." He said.
"Ah ya my code..." I panicked and walked back, then turned around and started running but I didn't come far because I bumped into something that felt like a wall.
Ouch!
"What do you think where you are going little sis?" Dylan asked me smirking.
Shit, I totally forgot about him.
Dylan knows always what I'm up to so it was easy for him to stop me and hurt/embarrass me at the same time.
"Ouch.. you are so hard! Maybe you should stop being such a wall and start to eat more cotton candy to make yourself fluffier." I snapped.
Only one second before I wanted to go around him I felt arms on me and the next second I was pulled over someone's shoulder.
It was Leo's.
He sat me on the chair and all my brothers glared at me.
I felt damn uncomfortable!
"So you code Hailey," Max said this time harsh.
"No, I'm not even thinking of telling you," I responded sassily.
"Oh, big mistake little sis!" Aiden said and then continued saying "If you don't tell us right now your code you are grounded for 3 months, you are not allowed to do anything without our permission and we won't even let you in the near of a boy!"
I hesitated and said then "4749 and now leave me alone."
The boys smiled satisfied.
I went back upstairs to my room and fell almost immediately in my bed.
I lay on my bed for a while and then without a real reason I started to cry.
I don't know why but it just felt right.

Approximately 30 mins later I heard a knock on my door.
"Hailey, can I come in?" I heard Leo asking.
"Yeah"
He entered my room. I looked at him and saw the plate with food in his hands.
Yummy.
"What do you want?" I asked him because he didn't say anything.
"I brought you some food" he gave me the plate and continued "look I'm sorry for earlier but we really do this only to protect you, you know that right?"
"I know but that doesn't justify what you did."
I said harshly.
"I know but look" he made a pause and then said " If we haven't found out about you and the guy we couldn't protect you the way you need to be protected. We are your brothers and brothers protect their little sister that's just how it works."
"Your kidding right?" I asked him shocked.
"Tell me that you're not going to protect me from the guy I like. Damn it. Okay, no one can ever be 100% sure about something but god sakes I'm 99% sure about this guy. So either you are going to accept it and be happy for me or you stay out of it!" I yelled at him.
Now he was the one that looked shocked. I mad him clear that now is the moment where he has either to say that he supports me or has to leave.
He decided not to support me and left.
Thanks for nothing.

For the rest of the day, I tried to avoid them as much as possible.
At 10:30 pm I went to bed and thought about God and the world but I was also happy that I made so many things from my to-do list.
I still hate my brothers for what they did.
So let's just hope that tomorrow is going to better.
