THE SMELL OF PANCAKES AND BEER WAS REALLY STRONG THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE. Dean was confused at this, and he started to smell it more as he laid on his bed sleeping. He finally opened his eyes and rubbed them trying to see clearly, the smell continued to linger in the air. He furrowed his eyebrows and turned to Cecilia's side of the bed only to find out she wasn't there.

"Celia?" He asked into thin air, but no one answered. He sighed and got out of bed. His naked feet touching the cold floor, he slightly jumped at that and ran to the other side of the room where a carpet was placed on the floor. "Fuck you, floor." He said to it.

Dean turned towards the chair next to the carpet and threw on some pants, since he had went to sleep in nothing but underwear. He put on some blue slippers that Cecilia had gotten him as two month  anniversary gift, three years before. He smiled at the memory.

At the time Cecilia had no idea how relationships worked, since Dean was her first one. She didn't know how anniversaries worked and from what she had seen on TV people usually got each other gifts during different time periods, after days of dating, weeks, months and years. So she decided to get him some slippers confused as if she should give him something or not, also not knowing what to give him or what to expect.

One day that Dean wasn't  in the house she decided to gift wrap the slippers. She didn't hear Dean sneaking into the room to scare her, but when he scared her, she was so nervous that she accidentally threw the slippers to his face. Cecilia was so mad at Dean that she didn't talk to him for a week, after he kept apologizing she forgave them. Afterwards they laughed at that.

He put the slippers on and left, he made his way down the hallway and down the stairs. After that he walked towards the kitchen where he saw Cecilia looking at him with a bright smile on her face. In front of her the table was filled with pancakes and beer. A small letter stood in the middle, it read "Im sorry for what I put you through. I love you."

Dean looked at the letter for a long time making Cecilia very nervous.  Was this finally going to be the day where he leaves her? Had she messed up big-time more than the last this time?

After a while of Dean looking down at the letter, he  finally looked up at her with a smile covering his face. And she knew that everything was going to be ok, for now. He raised his eyebrows in excitement and made the face of a little kid who just got his favorite present for Christmas, Cecilia laughed at him.

"Wow." He said making his way over to the table, sitting down. He started to eat, while Cecilia made his way over to him and sat on the sit front of him.
Dean hummed from pleasure, Cecilia giggled at that. He looked up at her and smiled, showing the food on his mouth.

Cecilia made a disgusted face at that. "Ew Dean, come on."

"I'm sorry, but it's just so good. It's this your Abuela Carmen's recipe?" He asked her to which she nodded. "Remind me to the tell her I love her the next time I see her."

"You can tell her yourself at my cousin Rafael's birthday next week." She told him, he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.

"Isn't he your cousin Ivette's actual cousin, not yours." He said trying to remember her family.

"No that's José Andrés, not José Miguel who's my dad's uncle, Rafael is my grandmother's sister grandson." She said, he shook his head at her. Her family was the stereotypical Latino family, everyone considered everyone cousins, and family. It was too big for him to remember. "Anyways enough about my family, I got you a special something." She told him.

"What?" He asked her, she pulled out Yankees tickets, he smiled at her and took it from her hands.

"You can take Sam with you, I'm sure he needs a break from Victoria and the kids." She told him shrugging her shoulders. He stood up and hugged her, giving her a kiss to her lips.

The kiss was full of love and adoration, in moments like this. They forgot about all their problems and they were once that one happy couple they used to in the beginning. The one that didn't have to worry about what tomorrow brought. They were just two people in love.
