Your POV

Today was going... horrible.

After a god-awful long week, it was finally friday. Now usually I would look forward to Fridays -which i did- except everything that could have gone wrong, did go wrong.

There was a power cut to start and my alarm clock didn't go off so I woke up late. On top of that, my phone didn't charge either and I was so ready to kill everyone at this point. I missed my bus so I was an HOUR LATE FOR WORK. One of my colleagues was "ill" so I had to do double the work and trust me at a café that is not what you want. And finally some kid decided to spill the tea quite literally all over the floor of which I then slipped on and proceeded to spill more tea.

So yeah, I guess you could say I was having the worst day ever.

At this point, my bun was looking a little worse for wears and it could pretty much be considered a very messy bun.

Since my colleague wasn't here my boss decided I then had to work the late shift so that we didn't have to shut early and lose any customers.

I'd been working all day and it was now 9pm. Just one more hour till I clock off home and sleep forever. It was pitch black outside and really windy. Winter in England isn't the most fun unless it's snowing.

I had my spray bottle in one hand and a cloth in the other wiping down each and every table till they were spotless.

Nobody was in the café, it was completely empty which I was glad about. It was so cosy and welcoming but that meant it was always so busy.

I put the cleaning things onto the counter and grabbed my book from my bag.

Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix.

I've always loved Harry Potter and I've read the books a million times so once again I decided to read them because why not.

I put in my headphones and hummed along to the tunes playing through them and got back into the book.

The room was in half darkness; the strange silver instruments standing on tables were silent and still rather than whirring and emitting puffs of smoke as they usually did. The portraits of old headmasters and headmistresses covering the walls were all snoozing in their-

A muffled voice and cold wind broke my attention away from my book as the door to the café swung open.

I looked up from my book to see a cute, brown curly-haired guy stood in front of me smiling. He said something and I didn't hear a word.

"What?" I furrowed my eyebrows. Then I realised I still had my headphones in. "Oh... sorry..." I took my headphones out of my ears and closed my book looking a bit flustered. He chuckled at me.

"It's alright." He smiled warmly. "Is this place still open?"

"Oh, uh yeah, yeah it is." I blushed furiously and practically ran back to the counter by the coffee machines. "What can I get you?"

"Uh can I get an espresso with one sugar, and a milky tea with two sugars to go please."

"Hm." I smiled writing down his order.

"What?" He noticed my smile.

"Nothing... it's just that's exactly how I have my tea." I smiled and his brown eyes locked with mine giving me butterflies.

It must have been at least ten seconds before I realised I was still staring and smiling like an idiot.

"Oh, right. Your drinks." I blushed again.

I turned on the coffee machine for the espresso and began making his tea.

He was leaning over the counter watching me work. "So what were you reading? You looked really into it when I walked in."

"Oh, just Harry Potter."

"Really, which one?" He seemed genuinely interested rather than just making small talk.

"Order of the Phoenix."

"That's my favourite!" He smiled.

"Really? What house are you in?"

"Gryffindor." He said proudly. "What about you?"

"I'm in Y/H."

"I can see that." My cheeks turned more red. I need to stop blushing. Jesus.

I put the coffee on the counter and and finished up with his tea. "How much do I owe you?"

"It's on the house."

"What? No, seriously how much."

"Really, it's on me, no worries." I smiled.

He picked up the coffee and wrote something on the napkin. "Next time I'm here, I'm payin'." He winked. There goes those butterflies again.

He started walking towards the door but I realised he hadn't taken his other drink. "Hey! Wait! You've not got your tea."

"You have it, you look like you've had a long day." He smiled warmly. As he walked out the door he turned back to me. "I'm Tom, by the way."

"Y/n."

"Well, it was lovely meeting you, Y/n. Hopefully I'll see you again soon." And with that he walked out the café.

I looked down and smiled at the tea but I noticed the napkin underneath it.

Here's my number.
Maybe next time I can take you somewhere you don't have to make the tea yourself.

I picked up the napkin and held it tight.

"This is the best worst day ever."

A/n - Ahh! Guys that was my first imagine? It was probably pretty rubbish but let me know what you think! Xx
