Dear Willow,

I'm writing this journal to tell you how I met your mother. I'm not going to lie to you, this is not a happy story. This is going to be hard to write, but you need to know the truth. I'm going to give this to you when I think you're ready, but I just want you to know two things: 1. You were always loved. And 2. You were never, ever alone.

                                                                                      Yours truly,

                                                                                               Blake Sparks

I was a player, and I didn't care about anyone else but myself. When I found that journal in the bleachers that day, all I was thinking about was making my friends and half the school laugh, and maybe getting some leverage on a girl I didn't even know.

Her name was Jane. It was written on the front cover of the journal, but that was it. Just Jane. No number, or locker number, no email address. No last name. I wanted to read the journal so bad, that as soon as I got home after football practice I took a shower, ate dinner, and then told my family that I was going to bed earlier than normal because I had "homework.

I will never forget that day. Never. As soon as I read that first page, I knew this girl needed help. But I didn't know that I could be her knight in shinning armor. Every time now, that I look back on that day, I wonder to myself "Did I make the right choose by taking that journal that day?" I'm going to let you make that chose after you read me and your mothers tale.
