Jane
The days seem to be getting longer, and I fear that the teasing won't ever fully stop. Some how, I got the head cheerleaders attention, and she thinks it's funny to point me out in class and ask me weird questions about babies that I of course know because of Tyler; but she doesn't need to know that.
She once stopped me in the hallway, and asked me if I knew a good way to get rid of stretch marks. She's going around saying some really bad stuff about the girl in our school who got pregnant.
That's all anyone ever calls her; the pregnant girl. It's really hard just going through life, I can't imagine what it's like for people to go around saying bad things about me because I got rapped. No one knows that, but I don't think it would be a whole lot better for her either way.
I know because I found her crying one day t the park on the way home from the store. It was dark, and cold. I was walking home from the store a few blocks away, and with an arm full of bags, I heard a sob coming from the swing sets. I went over to see what was on the swing set, and I found her there. She looked broken and hurt and just ready to give up. So I went and sat next to her.
I let her finish crying, and then she told me. She told me that on her way home from the library one night, she was pulled into an alley way and raped. She just found out that she was pregnant. Her dad was supposed to pick her up, but he fell asleep. I asked her if she had anyone that could be there for her, but she only cried harder. A guy saved her from deaths grip, but they got in a fight and he hasn't talked to her in over a week.
We got to talking and I found out her name was Anna. She was very beautiful with her dark brown hair and hazel eyes, but for as much as she was beautiful she was broken. I talked to her for over an hour, and I told her that she needed to talk to him. She promised me that she would, and guess what? She did. That's the first time that someone's done something that I've told them to; well besides Tyler but that doesn't count.
Although Anna is now happy with her guardian angel, not even him can save her from what everyone say's about her. I sit next to her at lunch, but's that's all the support I'm able to give her right now.
I never did tell her about my family. I couldn't bring myself to do it. She never asked me what was wrong, and she held me while I cried at school. That night after I got home, I was beat so bad that I broke 4 ribs; all from being home late to make diner. It was hard for me to breath, and I passed out in the library at school.
But I still went. I still went to school that day, because my one and only friend needed my help. I will be there for her as long as God will let me. But with how angry father is getting recently, I don't think it will be that much longer.
Blake
I remember that girl. I didn't know her name, just like Jane had said. I called her the pregnant girl. I don't know if you've ever made a big mistake, and then found out something new that changed the whole game, but let me tell you it sucks. Everyday she had to go to school, and face that. And I was a big part of it. I would call her the worst of names, and then laughed when she cried. It must have been hell for her, and back then I made it a personal goal to make it that way for her.
I ran into her a few years ago, and she's happy now. She has a baby girl, and she showed me a picture of her. She's beautiful. When I saw the picture of her, she was missing her left front tooth, and it reminded me a lot of what it was like to be young.
I hugged Anna, and we talked for a little while longer. She did end up marring Derek, the guy that had saved her. After about an hour, we broke apart, but not before we talked about Jane. She just had one real thing to say about her. She said, that she wished that she could have been there for Jane, as much as Jane was there for her.
