As Tidus sat on the deck of the Al Bhed ship, he began to think. He wanted to know how he got where he was, why he was there, and how long he would be there. However, all of these questions had no answer.
He began to grow angry. He was angry at Sin, at Auron, at everything. True, Tidus was glad Rikku saved him and all, but he just wished he knew what was going on.
The weather was beginning to get worse as the Al Bhed ship continued to sail. So far, the ship had been sailing pretty okay until something big hit the ocean, causing a huge wave to crash over the ship.
"Does anyone know what that was?!" Tidus yelled as he shook himself dry.
He didn't get an answer. He watched as the Al Bhed ran around to drop a huge claw in the water to retrieve what had hit the ocean. Tidus watched in awe as he saw the claw pull up a red mechanical lion.
When the lion was placed on the deck of the ship, everyone looked at it in wonder and curiosity. This was something never seen in Spira before. The Al Bhed have used and surrounded themselves with machines, but they've never thought of something like this before.
Even though they were curious, the Al Bhed stayed a good few feet away from the mechanical beast. There were only two people who dared get near the lion, and they were Tidus and Rikku.
"Have you seen anything like this?" Tidus asked as he looked at Rikku.
The Al Bhed girl shook her head as she looked at the lion in front of her in wonder.
"No... I didn't even think something like this could even exist."
As if on cue, the lion's jaw opened, acting like it was granting the two entrance. They looked at each other, nodding in agreement. They were both thinking the same thing. Tidus and Rikku smiled, running into the lion.
They wandered into the cockpit of the lion. Everything was lit up in red and was written in a language that neither of them could understand.
While Tidus was trying to understand the writing, Rikku slowly approached the seat that was sitting in the middle of the room. She gasped a little too loudly, which gained the attention to the blonde blitzball player.
"What is it? What's wrong, Rikku?"
"There's... There's a boy here. And I think he's still alive."
Tidus walked over and looked at the armored boy. He reached out to take off the male's helmet. When the helmet was removed, Tidus took in all of the male's facial features. Especially the mullet.
Rikku reached out to try and wake up the unconscious male. Just before her hand could make contact with his shoulder, the black-haired male's eyes shot open.
