CHAPTER 7: WHAT IS HE DOING HERE?

I kept on repeatedly asking him why he didn't tell me about the chapters being added and complained about the grade I got and how it would affect my report card but Jace didn't utter a word and kept on giving me a blank stare pretending like I was invisible. Another reason added to my list why I want to punch Jace.

"Are you done?", he replied "or should I escort you to the washroom where you can continue your crying session".

The nerve this guy has to talk to me like this, back to reality everyone had the nerve to talk to me like this though I didn't expect it from Jace let's just say I live in a world of expectations.

Jace woke up taking baby steps towards me making his gaze meet mine. I got lost in his grey eyes which the sun rays exposed making every second of me staring at him worth it.

"Get hold of yourself Eliana, it was just a test"

Hold up he knows my name wow what an achievement for me. Focus on the situation Eliana I murmured to myself in a low breath.

"It may be a test for you but for me, wait why would you even care after all your Jace, someone who doesn't care about other people's needs instead focuses on his own selfish life", I spoke without hesitating and wiped my tears off.

Jace tightened his grip around my elbows pulling me closer to him, I could hear his heavy breathing and his mint breath when he exhaled.

"No one talks to me like that".

"Well it's high time someone did", I replied trying to get his grip of me.

Jace pursed his lips and widened his eyes keeping them fixed on me. He didn't give a single response to my comment but turned and started walking towards the school building. This wasn't going to end like this I was going to add more spices.

"What's wrong Jace?, can't handle to hear a true fact about yourself", I spoke loud enough for him to hear me out. " Want to hear more of them?".

I kept on blabbering and didn't care this was the same Jace I crushed on. Jace turned back around and walked faster towards me, with each step he took towards me my heart started pounding increasing the rate of my pulse more than it can take. He pulled me closer to him,His breath which was uneven came in small spurts, hot and nervous. We stared at each other in an odd way as if it were a silent argument within our minds. Our glances battled each other, until Jace cupped his hands around my soft cheeks pulling me in for a kiss, his lips brushed mine. Not an innocent one but it was a demanding one as if he caught his chance and didn't want to let it go.It was slow and soft, comforting me in ways that words would never be. He ran his thumb, making small circles around my cheekbones. My heart started racing and I knew If this kept on going on my lungs would have given up on me and with that I backed off.

"What was that for?", I asked with a stunned expression.

"To shut your mouth", he replied and walked away.

Emma: no wonder someone had a smile on her face the whole day. C'mon share all the details with me don't be stingy one bit.

Me: I'll call you later at night my aunt needs me in the kitchen. Bye xoxo

"Hurry up Eliana if you keep working like a bride how will you prepare food on time for the guests", my aunt said as she filed her nails whilst walking around the kitchen.

I enjoyed having guests over though the work load was to much as I was made to do everything on my own but the better part I would be treated normally for once. It was my duty to organize everything from cooking to cleaning the house but my aunt always too the credit for it.

"Eliana, Eliana..", I could her Mellisa screaming my name repeatedly making her way to the kitchen.

"Aghh, what does she want now", I murmured to myself.

"Are you deaf or what can't you reply for once you made me waste my energy coming down",
" Anyways I want you to Iron my clothes and bring it to my room".

Mellisa and my aunt continued to have their conversation going on while I carried on with my chores but I had a peak of their conversation that Rob would be coming back soon. Rob lived in a different town eight hours away from ours but when he came home it was more of a holiday for me cause Rob would always be a helping hand and treated me more like family.

I managed to get ready on time and rushed downstairs to have one last look before the guests arrived cause if things aren't the way my aunt wanted them most probably I would have to make the garden my bedroom for tonight. I wore black tights a simple top and put my hair in a ponytail.

*DING DONG*
I made my way to open the door.
"Jace", 

"Eliana", 

We both said it at the same time sharing a glance at each other from top to bottom
