WHY ME?

CHAPTER 6: I'M DOOMED

"I don't need no what's, my decisions is final", Mr.Wilson said.

"Everybody exchange your sits with your partners and summarise chapter 16".

"This is gonna be super awkward", I told Emma and made my way to Jace. Emma just gave me a thumbs up making me feel everything will be fine but being around Jace was something different.

"Hey once again".

He just gave me a small smile and opened his book. That smile was such a killer one his small pink lips which I couldn't stop staring at.

"I wouldn't charge you for sitting down", Jace said while keeping his eye fixed on the book.

I smirked and sat down.

Finally it's the weekend Jace and I decided that we would be meeting thrice a week at the study hall. How will I ever survive one day with him the dude hardly says two words.

"Get ready we have to leave in 10 minutes", my aunt Amanda said as I was doing the laundry.

I had a quick shower and picked a simple dress since I didn't have much time to pick something better. The drive was pretty long, every house we passed by looked posh it definitely looked like rich people lived here. We pulled over outside a huge Sturdy three-story residence designed without the least imagination anyone could imagine.

I noticed a man from a distance standing outside a huge broad curved door, I supposed that was my uncles very good friend Peter. He was tall and broad-shouldered, with a wide and pulpy face. " Welcome everyone", he spoke as he welcomed us. "You must be Eliana", he spoke as he shook my hand. I gave him a warm smile and made my way inside the house. I notice a woman walking toward us from the other side of the hall, She was smartly dressed in a fine short dress that suited her medium height and body. Her features were more like Jace except from her height, her gloomy hazel eyes that leaves a spark on her young face and a warm smile that she displayed. I thought of not jumping into conclusions because they looked more of classy people while Jace on the other hand didn't look like he could reach their level.

"Welcome all", the lady spoke as she made us settle down in the living room and indulged in a short conversation with us as we waited for dinner to be served. I couldn't keep my eyes of the living room the interior included of a huge shinny chandelier that exposed the tile cladding wall painted in blue and white, the white leather sofas which felt so heavenly by siting on it and expensive paintings around the walls. Some random guy walked in saying dinner is being served, I monitored him head to toe, he was a handsome looking man  between the age of 18-21, he had that face that could automatically make you frozen into his looks. He was tall and had a muscular body with a well defined sharp jaw and high cheekbones. The complexion of his skin suited well with his hazel eyes . Focus Eliana I said to myself and looked away before anyone noticed me.

"This is my nephew Cameron", Peter spoke.

Cameron didn't say much apart from greeting everyone and displaying a small smile then walked off.

"How's studying going with your new partner", Emma asked.

"Horrible", I replied " he didn't show up for the past two weeks and I ended up sitting their for hours doing the research on my own.

" Call him then", Emma replied.

"I did but he always ends up giving me an excuse".

"Tell Mr. Wilson".

"What's the point now the tests are to be handed over tomorrow", I replied. "I'll talk to you later I have to rush to biology class".

Jace had started getting on my nerves, When it came to studying I didn't like jokes cause if I failed my ass my aunt and uncle wouldn't spare me. Jace on the other hand clearly didn't care about his education. Was he avoiding me for some reason or he just didn't like being around me.

"Eliana, you're being called by Mr.Wilson", one of my classmate said.

"Someone's in trouble", Emma said.

"You think I'm you", I replied and walked to the staff room.

"May I come in".

"Please do", Mr.Wilson said while he marked some papers. "for the first time you disappointed me"

"What did I do", I replied.

He handed me my project papers and the first thing I notice was a D.

"How can this possible", I asked as I tried to control my tears.

"I wondered the same thing", Mr.Wilson "but turns out you left out 3 chapters".

"Didn't Jace tell you I added 3 more chapters last week when you were absent".

"No, he didn't", I replied.

"please give me an hour and I'll complete all of it", I pleaded to Mr.Wilson.

"I'm sorry I can't help you out Eliana", he replied."you can still make it up in the second test but you wouldn't be able to reach an A and I'm sure your uncle and aunt wouldn't be happy about it", he said and excused himself.

If my uncle and aunt don't see an A in my report card I will be doomed, they have already made my life a leaving hell and for them if I didn't Ace my exams they would torture me for days. I walked over to Jace who was sited by himself in the field and out of anger I threw the papers on his face.

"Thank you so much", I spoke in a angry tone as tears fell from my eyes.
