WHY ME?

Chapter 8: OH NO HE DIDN'T

"You", I asked as I gawked at him with my mouth open.

"Yes me", he replied " close your mouth or else you'll start blaming  me if anything enters your mouth"

"What are you doing here?"

Jace leaned on the side of the door while folding both his arms replying "I came here looking for you".

"Really", I replied trying not to express my excitement. How can someone look so attractive just by standing gosh this guy is surely going to make me go crazy.

"It's knows as sarcasm besides I have better places to waste my time at rather than to be here".

My face crimsoned at his response but I tried to play it cool telling him " why do you always have to be a jerk?".

Jace was about to talk back but he was cut off by a familiar voice that I had heard before and it was Maya making her way towards the Porch saying, "you guys met already", followed by her husband and Cameron. What on earth would Jace be doing with them I questioned myself and hoped what I was thinking about wouldn't come out of Maya's mouth, unfortunately I was right.

"This is my son Jace and this is Eliana the sweet girl I mentioned to you about",  Maya spoke as she introduced both of us.

Jace raised an eyebrow saying "sweet girl".
I squinted at Jace and turned my attention towards Maya and her family welcoming them in.

The atmosphere soon turned into a place of laughter and happiness expect from Jace giving me awkward glances thinking I wouldn't notice him. The better part Rob surprised us which means my holiday begins.
Rob and I made our way to the kitchen to clean and wash the remaining dishes after the guests had left. Rob and my uncle had the exact same features from face to toe the only difference was Rob is the younger version of him.

"So what's the story between you and Jace?", Rob asked as he rinsed the dishes.

"Nothing", I replied. " why do you ask though?".

"He kept on staring at you as if you were his prize that he didn't want anyone to touch or look at"

Well I wasn't the only one who noticed it. A small smile crossed my face after what Rob said as I was Jace's prize but it quickly vanished because let's get back to reality Jace always spoke to me like crap despite kissing me it changed nothing.

"He looks like trouble", Rob said.

"You say that about every guy", I replied darting  my eyes towards him.

Rob glared at me saying "Stay away from him",in a stunned tone and walked away.

Emma and I were having a blast at our conversation in the cafeteria as I gave her a flashback about everything that had happened between Jace and I , and our families discovering us being in the same school despite not saying a word about each other. Suddenly I felt someone grab my stripped navy blue and white top that I had worn pulling me with force causing me to slam my back and elbow on the floor.

The noise of laughter and chattering in the cafeteria despaired as everyone turned their faces towards us. I sat upright trying not to make any expression by the pain I was feeling and tried to figure out why would someone even want to attack me I always made sure to stay out of trouble and I turned back wanting to know this person and was surprised when I saw Nancy standing their with her two puppets Anne and Amber, all giving me a bitchy smirk.

"You little bitch", Emma said as she made her way to Nancy almost throwing a punch on her face if it wasn't for her puppets to who came in her way. A circle soon formed as if some tug of war was going to take place.
Nancy turned towards me shooting her eyes directly at me and said "wake up little hoe".

Did she just call me hoe. I've had enough of people treating me  like I'm some loser who can't defend herself. I woke up trying to not to express the pain I was feeling.

"What did you just call me",

" A hoe who can't keep her filthy hands off other people's man", Nancy replied folding both her arms and giving me the bitchy smirk as always.

The crowd burst out into laughter but I cut it off by saying "isn't that what you and your puppets been doing your whole life". The laughter of the crowd increased more while some people started saying burn to the remark I made to Nancy. Emma from the back kept on saying, " you go girl" building my confidence more.

"How dare you talk to me and my friends like that".

I folded both my arms and took steps forward to her until I was face to face telling her " what are you going to do about it?".

The whole crowd started chanting "FIGHT,FIGHT,FIGHT...", repeatedly . The noise happened to reduce when they noticed Jace breaking into the crowd making his way towards us. The next thing I knew, he slammed his lips to mine. I didn't have a moment to react, everyone gawked in astonishment but all I knew I was enjoying everything and I bet Nancy would be burning from the inside. I tried pulling away from the kiss but he caught the grip of my arm and pulled me back. It was a very sloppy kiss but quickly ended when I noticed people started flashing the phone camera towards us.

Nancy had a wave of mixed emotions enveloping her. The signs of her being jealous, Irritated, hopeless; was written all over her face. "How could you?", she expressed her words in disbelief."Why flaunt yourself on hoes like her?","What about us?!". Every time she said those words Nancy tried not break down.
