Y/N's POV

"I'm still confused as to what Dinah has to do with you."

"Nothing, that's what makes her upset." Vanessa chuckles. 

We're still down at the station because the shifts haven't changed yet. Everyone has told Normani to go home, even Vanessa, but the older woman insists on staying.

"You know, you can go home at any time." I say, turning to face Normani. 

"Telling me to go home isn't going to make me leave." Normani chuckles. 

"How do you deal with this tension every day? It's making me feel strange." 

"You weren't married to the dumbass, I was." Normani says.

"I still want to know what convinced you to marry him." Vanessa says.

I look over at her with a bitch are you serious face. "You're kidding."

Vanessa shakes her head. "I've asked this before and I've like never got an answer, so please enlighten me on why you made that terrible decision."

"You made the terrible decision of leaving me with 3 kids and Kehlani, not a good mixture." Normani chuckles.

"Excuse me?"

I turn around and of course I see Kehlani standing behind me. "Ain't nobody ask for you, get lost." 

"I heard my name, so therefore I'm here." Kehlani chuckles. 

"She was talking about how her lovesick wife left her." 

"Mhmmm, I was in on it too." Kehlani smirks. 

"See, I had a feeling y'all set me up." Normani chuckles. "I should come push yo ass over just for that."

"Nooo, lil mama don't deserve this slander." Kehlani says, cradling her belly.

"How did you manage to keep lying to her? Her own wife can't even lie to her." I say.

"Well damn, just say it how it is." Vanessa chuckles.

"Actually, it was Ally's craftiness that saved my ass." Kehlani says.

"While she did come up with these things, that doesn't mean you had to do it sis. Let's be real."

"Did you come down here just to harass me or is there an actual reason you're here?" Normani asks. 

"I'm down here because your no good ex husband is threatening to release a sex tape if you don't agree to joint custody." Kehlani says. 

Normani snickers. "I had none of these problems with David, so why is Marvin being an asshole?"

"Marvin's always been an asshole. I don't think anything will ever change." I chuckle. "You would think David would raise hell because of his reputation, but he's like being very low key now."

"You and I both." Vanessa chuckles. "He basically just gave up because he knew he wouldn't win."

"The fact that you stole your cousin's fiance and you're still on civil terms with him is beyond me." I say.

"If we're being technical, she wanted me."

"Someone has an over inflated ego today." Normani chuckles. "You wanted me, there's no denying it."

"She's right." Kehlani chuckles.

"Hey, you're supposed to be on my side." Vanessa says. 

"Oops." Kehlani says. "But Normani did throw a huge fit when Vanessa first left."
