Chapter 21

"Who bought it?"

"Vanessa."

This makes Dinah stop in her place. "Uh, what?"

Dinah's POV

Lauren sees no problem with what she just said, so she repeats it. "I said Vanessa bought it."

"I heard what you said but...."

"She didn't tell you?" Lauren asks.

"No...." I trail off, going to find Vanessa. "Lauren says you bought her a ring."

"I did." Vanessa says.

"Why?" I ask.

"Because she wanted it." Vanessa shrugs.

"There's got to be more to it than that."

"Maybe there is and it's up for you to find out."

At this point I have no words yet so many questions.

How did this happen? When did this start happening? And most importantly, how didn't I know? Was I too blind to notice?

"I know you have a shitload of questions." I hear Lauren chuckle.

"You think?" I asked, turning to face her and chuckling a little myself.

"Basically this is like some sort of threesome shit because Vanessa's seeing the both of us."

"How the hell you gon have a wife and a girlfriend? I have seen it all." I say, making the both of them laugh before Vanessa walks out of the kitchen.

"The most fucked up thing is that Normani is totally fine with it."

"Like...totally?" I ask.

"She's like....99.99999% percent okay with this. I say 99 because she could easily come home one day and say it's either her or me."

"I'd be crushed." Lauren chuckles.

"Why?" Vanessa asks.

"Because you'd pick her! That's why!" Me and Lauren both say.

"Would I really?"

"Yes you would. We all know you would." I chuckle.

"You right." Vanessa chuckles.

"Exactly."

No One's POV

"I suggest you go before Normani finds out you're here and she shreds you like a Thanksgiving turkey." Lauren says.

"Yeah that sounds like a good idea--" Vanessa says.

"--Baby?"

Everyone's eyes widen to the size of golf balls.

"Shit." Lauren whispers.

"Yes?" Vanessa replies.

"Where are you?"

"....In the bedroom." Vanessa says, before whispering to Dinah. "Hide in the closet!"

"Which one?! There are two!" Dinah replies.

"Pick one dumbass!" Lauren replies.

"Oh, right." Dinah says.

Apparently Dinah took too long to decide so Vanessa just picks a closet and pushes Dinah in it.

"Hey Mani." Lauren says.

"Hey....I thought I heard somebody in here." Normani says, walking around to see if she can find any evidence of anyone coming in before standing back at the door with her arms crossed.
