Chapter 18

No One's POV

Currently Y/N is sitting in Kamila's room and looking to see what she has on her computer.

"How in the hell do you have access to her phone?"

"She never changes her passwords for things." Kamila chuckles.

"Does she even know?" Y/N asks.

Kamila shakes her head. "Nope."

"Oh wait, there are new text messages, go to that." Y/N says.

"Okay." Kamila says.

"First of fucking all, why is there a heart beside her contact name?" Y/N asks.

"Maybe the same reason she blatantly said that she wants Vanessa." Kamila says, pointing to the messages.

"....So what should I do?"

Kamila shrugs. "I'd say take pictures of this and show her later."

Meanwhile, Dinah is trying to process the fact that Y/N is related to Marvin while trying to keep her not so little crush on the woman under wraps like she has for the past few years.

Vanessa has been staring at her computer screen for a good 20 minutes, before the phone ringing brings her out of her thoughts. "This is Vanessa Hernandez."

"Hey there, uh there's someone that wants to see you." The receptionist says.

"Is it Dinah?"

"No."

"Is it Sammy?"

"Hell no, I wouldn't let her in."

"I've taught you well, my little grasshopper," Vanessa chuckles. "I'll come see right now."

"Okay great," The receptionist hangs up the phone. "She said she'll be here soon."

"Great."

Vanessa walks out of the shared office and sees Normani walking the opposite direction with a family. "Damn ma, lemme get them digits."

Normani lightly giggles. "Nah fam, you good."

"Am I really?" Vanessa asks.

"Yes, you are." Normani chuckles.

"Hm...I don't think I am." Vanessa says.

"I think you are and you should stop harassing me."

"Harassment? Explain." Vanessa says.

"SECURITY!" Normani exclaims, making everyone in the station laugh.

"Do you guys have something going on? Even if you don't this is still hilarious." The older woman asks as Normani opens the door to their office.

"We're married." Normani says.

"Are we?" Vanessa asks.

"Don't make me kill you." Normani says.

Vanessa laughs before replying. "Yes, we're married."

"I should've known with that rock on your hand." The man chuckles.

"Do you have a sister or brother? I'm asking for a friend." The woman says, making Normani and Vanessa laugh.

"I have a sister but she's a little out there. You don't want her." Vanessa chuckles.

"Sucks." The man says sarcastically.

Vanessa's been staring at her phone screen for about 10 minutes since she's waiting for a reply to her email and Normani is typing away on files behind her. The younger woman groans and puts her head down on the table.
