Double Trouble

Chapter 4

*ENRIQUE's POV*

"Wew." I heard it from the woman behind tito Ailbert's daughter. I didn't mind her cause my eyes is directly to the woman in front of me. According to tita Elcid, this woman is a fashion designer but the way she dressed, I don't think she's a designer.

"Shall we go Ms. Lawrence?"

"Sir, hindi po ako."

"Come again?"

"Ah-eh.. ano ba. ahm... Ma'am?"

"Oh, Hi Mr. David. I am Donata Lawrence. The daughter of John Ailbert Lawrence."

"So, you're the daughter." he said with a cold baritone voice. "I'm Enrique." 

"Yes. So, shall we go?"

"Okay."

Pagkatapos ng ilang minutong nakakabinging byahe, nakarating din sa bahay nila daddy.

"We're here. We'll be going and nice to meet you." 

"Wait, you're not living here?"

"I'm not."

"Okay. Why don't you come inside and have some rest for awhile?"

"No, I'm fine and thank you."

"Okay. Pasensya nga pala naghihintay kayo ng matagal kanina. Ang tagal kasi lumabas sa carousel yung bagahe ko."

"So, you can speak tagalog."

"Yes, We speak tagalog when we're inside the house. My mom is a pure pilipina while dad is half pilipino."

"I see.." sabay tango sa sinasabi ng lalaki.

Biglang nag ring ang phone ko 'Tita Elcid's calling...' "Excuse me."

"Hello tita?"

"Hija, can you keep accompany my nephew to our house until tomorrow?"

"ahm.."

"Please hija.."

"But.."

"No buts hija, we'll be back tomorrow night. You have a room and  have some spare of clothes in our house so there's no problem."

At wala na nga akong magagawa kundi.. "Okay tita, just bring me a wonderful thing from Palawan."

"Thank you hija, you're the best! I have to hang up. You're dad is waiting outside."

"Bye tita. Enjoy!" at hinarap ko ulit ang lalaking kausap ko kanina. "So, I guess I have to stay here."

"That's good. Hindi ko pa kabisado ang bahay na'to. Let's go inside?"

"Okay." At hinarap ko ang katulong ko. "Lala, ipapahatid na kita sa driver nina daddy. Just stay for awhile para makapag pahinga ka muna."

"Naku, hindi na po ma'am. D-diretso nalang po ako sa bahay."

"Okay then, kayo na muna bahala dun sa bahay. I'll just call manong para mapahatid ka na."

"Anyway, tita and daddy is not around. They're in Palawan." I told him while walking to the guest room where he can stay.

"Okay, thanks for informing me." 

"You're welcome Mr. David. Magpahinga ka muna." sabi ko nang makarating sa room.

"Thanks." at tumalikod na ito papasok sa kwarto. 

I am sitting in the kitchen counter having a tea time while contacting Amor, Franzine's secretary.

"Good morning Ms. Donata, how can I help you?" bungad ni Amor nang sagutin nito ang tawag ko.

"Can you send me a copy of my schedule for this month? I need it now if possible." I said to her then sip in my cup of tea.

"Sure Ms. Donata, I'll send it to you through e-mail." 

"Thank you Amor." I ended the call then check the mail app in Franzine's phone. Gladly, it is already logged in. I just wait for a few minutes before I received an email from Amor.

I went to our room here in dad's house. Yes we share a room here whenever we decided to exchange identity and when Franzine and I are together, one of us wore a disguised. The maids thought that one of us is tita Alexa's daughter  and I think we convince them. How brilliant, right? 

I grab the sketch pad and other materials then went to the poolside to sketch tita Elcid's gown.  It's not a hard job since this is our dream and natural talent.  After an hour, I finished tita's gown and started putting some details. I'll just give this piece of art to our tailor. 

I went back to our room to get my things so I can go to the boutique and drop-off this design for tita. Hindi pa naman ako nakaramdam ng pagod.  Narinig kong nag ring ang phone ni Franzine na nilagay ko sa nightstand. I was about to answer when the phone stops ringing. I saw tita  Elcid's 5 missed calls and 2 messages. I didn't read the messages so I just call back  and after one ring, I heard her voice from the other line.

"Hija, I'm glad you called back." 

"Hi tita, how's your day?"

"It's wonderful hija. How are you and my nephew, Don?"

"That's greattita and we're good, actually he's in his room, sleeping."

"I see. Siyanga pala hija, nag pa extend ang daddy mo dito sa Palawan. Gusto kasi nitong mag El Nido next week. I'm sorry hija wala na akong nagawa sa request ng daddy mo. Alam mo namang ngayon lang din siya nakapag bakasyon dahil busy sa negosyo." Mahabang wika nito

"Ganun po ba. So, kailan po kayo babalik dito sa Manila?"

"Maybe two days before our anniversary hija. Sinusulit na rin ng daddy mo ang bakasyong ito. Do you want to talk to your dad?"

"Yes please."

"Baby! How are you?" masayang bati nito.

"Hi dad, I'm pretty great."

"Yeah I know, you're pretty. Alam ko ring maayos ka lang diyan lalo na't andyan si Enrique."

"Dad.." ang daddy ko talagang di magpapahuli sa kalokohan.

"Yes baby?"

"Bakit kayo nag extend? I want to see you." Saad ko na may paawa effect ang boses

"I'm sorry baby pero nag e-enjoy pa kami ng tita mo. Minsan lang to kaya pag bigyan mo. Lagi naman tayong nagkikita diyan."

Hays.. kung alam niyo lang Dad. "Okay see you soon dad. Mag enjoy muna kayo diyan."

"Thanks baby, mag ingat ka diyan. Bye bye!" at inend call nga nito. Tsk! maka asta nga naman tong daddy ko ay parang bata.
