Long Way Home (Drew)

Chapter 7

I have one week left until I have to leave for LA and I'm dreading it.

Ever since me and drew kissed we have been avoiding each other. We didn't really know what to say or what to do. It's been awkward and I don't want to leave Texas like this.

"Drew, can we talk?" I say coming into his room.

" I can't."

"Why?"

"Im about to do a younow." Drew says impatiently.

"Can they wait? we need to talk about this." I said not giving up.

"No."

"What do you mean no?"

"We are not talking about this." Drew said throwing his laptop on his bed. He was obviously annoyed.

"Why not?"

"What's to talk about? Huh? Your going to leave for LA and I'm going to stay here. Your going to move on and graduate with some surfer dude. I'm going to stay here and miss you everyday. We are going to part and live our separate ways. Do I want that to happen? No. Can I stop this? I wish I could but I can't. I'm sorry."

"I- I don't kno- I'm just shocked."

I didn't expect this from Drew. I never knew he felt this strongly about me. He actually thinks that I'm going to forget about him. He's my whole world. I flew from LA to meet him.

"Listen Drew," I say as a plop myself beside him on his bed holding his hand "I honestly had the best time with you. You are my sunshine, you are my world, you are my everything. The fact that you even kissed me still isn't real to me. I will never forget about you. I will literally do anything to keep what we have. I'm sorry that I have to leave and I honestly don't want to. If your willing to do long distance than I will also."

" I wanna do this." Drew said kissing my hand.

"Are you sure?" I said.

"I'm sure." He said kissing me slowly.

I lay down on his bed and he follows.

"Wanna do something crazy?" drew said drawing circles on my hand.

"Sure. Like what?"

"Let's fit everything we can into the 6 days and *looks at watch* I don't know how many hours. I'm going to take you on dates and spend so much time with you, your going to want to go back to LA on the first day."

"Let's do it."

"Our time starts now."
