He is wearing a pair of sunglasses and dressed casually. He looked extraordinarily handsome, attracting everyone's gazes as soon as he appeared.
"Patrick!! I love you!!
"Marry me, Pat!!"
"AAAARRRGHHHH!!! Patrick!!!"
"Please move aside! don't push! it is dangerous!!"
The screaming voices from the fans and bodyguard following each of Patrick's steps. With a hat and mask covering his face, Patrick walks fast yet steadily. Once a while he waved his hand to greet his fans. Today is the day each year when most of the entertainers eager to wait. Annual award night. Being nominated in this event means that the actors are in their peak of career, with myriad future. Yet, for some unknown or maybe known reason, Patrick looks gloomy and colder than his usual self. Once a while his manager take a glance at him, yet Patrick seemed doesn't care at all.
"Your waiting room is number 14, please come this way," said one of the staff that has been waiting his arrival. Patrick nods his head and walks together with his manager to the room that mentioned.
"Director Ma personally asked designer from LV to prepare your outfit tonight. He must be really proud of you and your achievement. " The manager tries to open the conversation, but Patrick only took a glance at the outfit that he showed to him before busying himself with his mobile phone.
"Ok, you can start to put on makeup and styling his hair, we have to be prepared before 6 pm." Said the manager to the makeup artists that have been waiting.
"You know that this event is quite important not only for you but also for our company, right?! I hope you won't do some ridiculous things. Remember that you have over millions of fans who are putting you as their idol, don't make them disappointed."
Patrick's hand that busy scrolling on his phone stope abruptly, he turned his attention his manager who looks serious talking to him.
"Don't bring my fans to threatened me, I have done enough for the company. Since my contract will end by the end of this year, I will do my best to follow the contract by then. So you don't have to worry about today's event. "
Xiao Jun, Patrick's manager sigh.
"It been 3 years and you are still like this. You know better than anyone else that breaking from Nick is the best choice, not only for you but also for him, his career."
Patrick only throws a cold look at his manager without giving more words. Nobody knows better than himself how he regrets his decision. Three years ago he chose a stupid decision, in the name of "protecting beloved one's dream". Patrick still remembers vividly Nick's expression when he told him to end their relationship. His stupid decision destroyed everything, including his beloved one, Nick.

Three years ago,
"So this is your last decision?!"
"I am sorry. But this might be the best choice for us."
"We have walked through all of these problems together, and we've promised that we will always support each other, regardless of other people's judgment. "
"You've even promised me that you will never leave me! How come.. how on earth you come with this decision?"
"Ge, listen to me... this decision is also hard for me to accept. But if we keep this relationship, you will get hurt even more. " Patrick try to convince Nick.
"So, in the end, this is for my own benefit? because you don't want to let me get hurt? " said Nick quavering.
"Ge~"
"Stop calling me Ge, I am not your brother. Do you want to end this relationship? ok. I won't give a f*ck anymore! " Nick stood from his seat and walked away, for a couple of seconds Patrick baffled by Nick's reaction. This is the first time he saw Nick this angry.
"Ge!! " Patrick stood abruptly, run and caught Nick by his arm.
"Ge~" Patrick pulled Nick into his embrace. Trying his hard to not letting the person he treasure the most to run from him.
"Ge~ please. Please ,listen to me, I know this is very cruel for you. I just need you to understand. We have to chose a differnt path for now, at least until I am be able to stand on my own feet. Until I can protect you with my own power. I bet all the things that I have just to be with you."
"Give me some times, I promise to come back again to you. I will become stronger. I will never ever let anyone harm you, including my company or fans."
Nick did not utter a single word. But his eyes tell patrick everything. Nick's pretty eyes briming with tears, which Patrick never wish to see them there.
"How long? " Said Nick finally. Patrick was taken aback by Nick's question.
"How long you want me to wait for you? 1 year? two? five? or ten years? "
"Have you ever think about my opinion? have you ever asked me before make your decision? don't you know that relationship is build by two persons? how come you make a decision without even ask about my opinion. "
"I don't need you to protect me. I don't need you to shiled me from the harassment. I just need you to be with me, walking through this pathway. But, it seemed that i am yearning for nothing."
"If you want to break up, I don't have anything to say. I just want a respectfull relationship. If you think that our relationship is only an obstacle for your career, I won't push you any further."

"We will start in 15 minutes, Mr. Patrick, please follow me to the main hall." A knock on the door, which followed by a notification from the staff wakes patrick up from his thought. He stand up, fix his clothes and walk to the door. From the opposite of his room, someone open their door and from inside, a delicate figure appears. Two pairs of eyes staring one to each other. It's been 3 long years Patrick yearning and dreaming of those eyes. The pairs of eyes that he will never able to forget, the eyes that belong to his man.
