Park Jimin has been locked out of his apartment for almost an hour.

He assumes his roommate Taehyung is busy with his boyfriend Jungkook, and he knows he's an idiot for forgetting his key (again), but he's still annoyed. Plus, his ass is falling asleep from sitting on the concrete for so long.

Jimin looks up when he hears footsteps approaching. The newcomer mutters something along the lines of "unfuckingbelievable" before Jimin looks away.

"Jimin?"

"What are you doing here?" The man who is now searching his pockets for his keys is named Min Yoongi. Two of their mutual friends had tried to set them up, but Jimin only wanted sex, no strings attached. Although Yoongi was initially put off by this, he's currently okay with the arrangement.

"I live in apartment 309. And I'm assuming you live in 313."

"I've never seen you here before."

"Maybe because we usually end up in my car. Or really anywhere but here," Yoongi says, almost bitterly. Jimin nods as if to say "fair enough" before turning away again.

"Are you locked out?"

"No, sometimes I like to pretend to be a stray dog and wait until Tae lets me in," Jimin replies sarcastically, getting more annoyed by the second.

Yoongi laughs, but falters when he realizes that he doesn't have his keys, either.

"That's what you get for being a dick," Jimin taunts.

Yoongi slumps against the door with his legs straight out. They sit in silence that borders on awkward until the older man's phone rings, obnoxiously loud.

"Where the hell are you?"
"I accidentally left my keys inside."
"That's like four hours from now, Hobi!"
"Fine. Bye."

Jimin doesn't have time to say anything about the half of the conversation he heard because suddenly his apartment door is opening, and he nearly tumbles backwards inside.

"I'm so sorry, Jiminie! I—we were just—" Taehyung stumbles over an apology while Jungkook stands behind him, cheeks flushed, confirming what Jimin assumed.

"You two are disgusting!" Jimin tries to stay angry, but truthfully, he loves the two younger men. They're perfect for each other. Neither of them believe his act anyway.

"Come in, we're about to make dinner!"

"Go ahead, I'll be there in a sec," Jimin pops his head back outside his doorframe to look at Yoongi. "You can come in, if you want. Four hours is a long time to sit out here and be miserable."

"Nah, I'll probably just drive around or something. No big deal," Yoongi replies, shrugging.

"Okay, be safe!" Jimin joins his friends in the kitchen.

About thirty minutes later, when the trio has given up on cooking and started arguing over what to order for delivery, someone knocks on the door. Jungkook answers and comes back looking a little worried.

"Uh, Jimin, do you know a guy about as tall as you but like seven hundred times more menacing?"

Jimin laughs, realizing it must be Yoongi. "Yeah, I'll talk to him."

"Are you sure you're good by yourself?" Taehyung asks warily, thinking back on Jimin's shaky past with men.

"Yeah, it's the guy Namjoon and Jin tried to set me up with. He's nice."

At the door, Yoongi stands with his hands in his pockets, rocking back and forth on his heels. "Did you change your mind?"

"As much as it pains me to admit it, I want to come inside," Yoongi chuckles, then pauses. "If you were actually serious about me coming inside."

Jimin understands why he might be nervous. They've had a maximum of three full-length conversations total because Jimin has opted for only speaking during sex. Still, Jimin was serious about inviting him in, and he hopes his smile conveys that message.

"Of course, come in. Guys, Yoongi's a dumbass and got locked out too so he's gonna hang with us until his roommate comes home." Yoongi slaps Jimin lightly on the arm, earning him a sharp glare from Jungkook and Taehyung, though he has no idea why.

"So the one in the beret is Taehyung, the one with the big eyes is Jungkook. Taekook, this is Yoongi," Jimin completes introductions.

"Don't call us Taekook or we'll start calling you Yoonmin," Jungkook warns.

"Oh, too bad we're not sleeping together so it's not relevant," Jimin counters, unaware that his friends know he's lying.

"Actually, I overheard Jin grilling you about whether or not you hooked up and you admitted to it," Taehyung takes Jungkook's side.

"You told Jin?!" Now Yoongi is in on the action.

"I feel so attacked."

"I can't believe you gave him the satisfaction of knowing he set us up."

"I'm sorry! It was only one time, so it's not a big deal."

Jungkook and Taehyung raise their eyebrows, while Yoongi pretends to be offended.

"Once. Okay."

"Okay, fine, maybeitwaslikeseventeentimes! Who cares?" Jimin throws his hands up in defeat. "Besides, I don't want to hear you two ridicule my sex life when I have to hear yours live all the time."

Jungkook squeaks in embarrassment and Taehyung decides to order pizza instead of fighting back. During Jimin and Yoongi's fourth full-length conversation, they realize they have a lot in common - the biggest being a massive love and appreciation for music - and that they would probably be good friends if they tried.

Once the food arrives, everyone is sitting down except for Yoongi. Jimin looks around and whines, turning to Yoongi with pleading eyes. "I forgot a drink. Please please please get me a water from the fridge."

The oldest man grumbles but complies, reading three bright yellow post-it notes stuck to the front of the fridge just because they're there.

Jimin - don't forget to buy milk, idiot.

Jimin - don't forget extra dance clothes in your bag, you'll look like an idiot in front of everyone again.

Jimin - study tonight so you don't fails your psychology test like everything else! :-)

Yoongi is a little taken aback by how harsh the notes are. Reminders aren't usually mean. He figures it must be some joke the younger men have going, that there are probably similar notes addressed to Taehyung and Jungkook somewhere else in the apartment. Still, he takes a picture of the notes in case he needs to bring them up later (all the true crime videos he has been watching have turned him into an amateur sleuth) before heading back to the living room. Even if Jimin was just a more-than-occasional hookup, if there was a chance he was being hurt, Yoongi wasn't going to sit back and let it  happen.

He breaks the rule Jimin imposed about not contacting each other outside of hookups by leaving his phone number on the counter.
