They started to move when Sam got shot in the arm. She went down and Matt covered her. "Shit." She cursed and fired blindly over the cover she was behind. "This isn't going well any more, is it?" She asked.

Matt snorted. "Well, I wish that Zel died the first time and didn't take Colin and Elena from us, but hey." He blasted energy out of his hand. "I don't think that you should come with me."

"Same." She smiled and then suddenly an explosion blinded Matt.

He heard only ringing in his ears as he yelled in pain, fragments covered his face and dented his ACA. He looked over and saw Sam was now gone, only her hand remained. He felt a tear roll down and blasted more energy that disintegrated everyone in the hall. His anger swelled as he picked up Oath Keeper and ran to the bridge.

Everyone who stood in his way, didn't stand a chance against him. He let his power flow freely. None of the bullets could breach his energy shield and no armor could deflect Oath Keeper. He reached the bridge door and was forced to take cover. There were twenty men with energy weapons, and they could beat him. So he closed his eyes, breathed in deep and when he rounded the corner, he blasted the whole hall with his Omega Arts.

The door blew open, slamming into the other end of the room and taking many personal with it. The rest opened fire on Matt. Solas just sat and watched Matt jumped and dodged everything. None of his guards lasted long. Matt finished the last one, breathing heavy, Oath Keeper dripping blood. Solas started to slowly clap. "Congratulations Matthew, Paladin of The Nine." He stood. "You have made it further than anyone or anything has before." He stepped down one step of his throne. "But now you have nothing to go back to. Your friends are dead, your army is failing. Even if I were to die, you have nothing." He smiled, his face still distorted, but the smile came through clearly. "I win no matter what."

Matt moved at super natural speed and punched Solas. Solas didn't move an inch. Matt raised his sword but his wrist was grabbed and he was thrown back again. Matt landed, tried to leap back, but Solas was already there and smashed his face into a console. Matt felt there heat and sparks of the now broken computer on his face. He grunted and pushed back. He swung Oath Keeper wildly, blindly just to get Solas away so he could get some room to fight back.

Solas ducked and dodged every attack made without making a move of his own. At least until Matt got him across his chest, then things became different. Solas started to fight back and Matt finally started to see why none could stand against Solas for long. The power he had was nothing like Matt had ever seen, or felt before. It was a wonder even The Nine could fight this guy, so how could he? It didn't matter, he had to fight to the end.

He was The Paladin and he was tasked to stop Solas Dorcha.

Matt slowly started to get better, maybe enough to win.

It had only been a few minutes of a fight, but he was starting to win. He tackled Solas, rolled him over and threw in into the throne that shattered like glass. Solas got up in time to see Matt right there and slam him right through the door into the reactor room. Matt saw Oath Keeper glow blue and small ruins appear for a second before disappearing. He thought nothing of it before stepping through the new hole to keep the fight going. However what he saw made his soul freeze.

Solas smiled as the core showed Tiffany in it, floating in some sort of blue liquid. Matt failed to catch his breath and nearly fell down. "How? Why?"

"I never killed her." Solas stood up. "Why kill her? She has powers that rival my own!" He turned to face her. "I use that power to power Genesis. With it I will keep it running forever!"

He turned back to see Matt swing Oath Keeper at his head. Solas barely moved out of the way in time. The tip nearly cut the bridge of his nose, so he flip backwards and kicked Matt on his chin. Matt stumbled back, but recovered and readied up. He knew that he had to stay focused. Even though Tiff was alive, she may only be alive because she was attached to the core. What would happen if the core was destroyed? Would she die? He didn't want to find out. So he had to keep fighting.
