justwriteit has teamed up with the entire Fright Family to bring you our biggest #JustWriteDay yet.

And by Fright Family, we mean fright, Paranormal, WattVampires, WattZombie, _Dark_Fantasy, werewolf, ghost, _creepy_pasta, and crime.

Yeah, we weren't kidding when we said it's big!

With the coming of the New Year, a large sum of people choose to set aside bad habits in order to make a new start. This means many will have one last indulgence, one last binge before the New Year comes.

For this flash fiction challenge, you are supposed to write a short story to this prompt:

We are aware this allows a lot of creative freedom, however, a few rules apply:

As the #JustWriteDay challenge is a collaboration between justwriteit and the Fright Family, your story must qualify as a Horror.

Your short story must be in English.

The maximum length is 500 words.

You have exactly 24 hours to complete your masterpiece, from the moment it is posted on @justwriteit (11:00 AM EST December 29th to 11:00 AM EST December 30, 2018).

Publish your story on your own profile, either as a new story or as a new chapter in an existing anthology. We can't accept prewritten or multi-chapter stories.

The best entries of this challenge will be featured in the #JustWriteDay anthology on the justwriteit profile. All the featured writers will receive a sticker and a shout out from both the JustWriteIt and Fright Family profiles.
