Michael and Jeremy were staying after school, along with Christine, Rich, Jake, Brooke, Chloe, and Jenna. They had all signed up for play rehearsal this year, and Mr. Reyes had said they could brainstorm while he went and talked to the principal about money for props. He left, and the group sat around, Christine trying to prompt some ideas out of them.
"C'mon guys!! Mr. Reyes is counting on us!" she begged, excited that the next play their school would be doing could be affected by their opinions.
"Christiiiiiiiiiine," Rich whined. "We're too hungry to think. Lunch was more poisonous than usual, so none of us ate."
"That's it! We can go get snacks!" Christine said enthusiastically. She left, and Jake, Jenna, Chloe, and Brooke followed suit. Jeremy, Michael, and Rich all stayed behind, sitting in silence. Then Michael played a YouTube video on his phone. They all shared a look, grinning and getting up on stage. Jeremy approached Michael, who was casually sipping his slushie from earlier.
"Rebecca. You are the prettiest girl in Brooklyn!" Jeremy exclaimed emphatically. Michael couldn't help but chuckle, loving how adorable his boyf looked.
"Thank you, Sir Jeffers," he smiled, trying hard not to laugh.
"Will you accompany me to the... mysterious wedding tonight?" Jeremy continued. Michael put on his most serious face.
"No," he said, looking down at Jeremy.
"But Rebecca! I love you!" Jeremy cried, actually looking heartbroken. Michael hid his smile, pulling off a guilty look.
"I... love you too," he said. His face suddenly formed a smile as he raised his arms. "I loooooooooooooooooooove you!"
"Marry me, Rebecca!" Jeremy pleaded.
"No," Michael replied, looking Jeremy dead in the eyes.
"Why?!" Jeremy cried in disbelief.
"I... I don't love you," Michael said quickly. "Whoopsies!"
"Rebecca!!" Jeremy screamed.
"I am in love with another," Michael declared dramatically.
"Who is this man?" Jeremy demanded angrily.
"He. Is. You." Michael answered suspensefully. Jeremy gasped as Michael continued. "I love you!"
"Marry me Rebecca!!" Jeremy exclaimed happily.
"No," Michael declined.
"REBECCA!!!!" Jeremy bawled in dismay, falling to his knees.
"I am in love with your brother," Michael explained. Jeremy quickly stood.
"Chad?! I'll kill him when I find him!" he growled furiously.
"Or... he will find YOU!!" Rich called, stepping onto the stage.
"Chad?!" Michael and Jeremy said in unison.
"The mysterious wedding has been our wedding all along!" Rich went on. "Rebecca and I are getting wed at the wedding today. You are not invited... will you be my best man?"
"Of course brother," Jeremy agreed solemnly. He then glared at Rich. "I hate you so much." Rich put an arm around Michael, the two turning to walk away.
"Goodbye brother, I'll see you at the Bachelor party!" Rich grinned as they left. Michael turned, and gave Jeremy a forlorn glance.
"Goodbye sir Jeffers, I will always love you..." he said, turning away.
"Rebecca..." Jeremy whispered, falling to his knees once more. Michael returned shortly after, scooping Jeremy up and kissing him all over his face. Rich came out laughing his head off.
"You guys are so dramatic I almost actually believed it," he snickered. Suddenly, there was a mass applause from the audience section. Jake, Jenna, Brooke, Chloe, and Christine were all clapping vigorously, Brooke and Christine crying while Jenna had been recording.
"Better back off Rich, Michael," Jake teased, walking up to his small boyfriend. "He's mine." Michael set Jeremy down and put his hands up in surrender.
"He's all yours, buddy!" Michael said, grabbing Jeremy's hand. Everyone realized it was time to leave when Mr. Reyes walked in, eating a hot pocket.
"See you all Monday!" he said happily. They all left, still giggling from their performance.
