Chapter 24

Davina and Kaleb had been texting about a day to go out to his cabin for a week meeting up and hanging out for a week. Davina liked him, he was nice and he was cocky too. He had texted her the address and she found it pretty easily. She found it and knocked on the door and he answered.

"What a surprise." he smirked she swore there was something so familiar about Kaleb she just couldn't figure out what. She smiled as he let her in.

"Do you want anything before we get started?" he asked

"No, let's see what you've got." she said. Esther had given him fake pages of a grimoire Kol had gone and fixed it all but today was the day. When he got here he'd spelled the cabin so his mother and Finn couldn't touch him. He had to tell he today he just didn't know how he was going to do it.

"Wow." she said the room had pages of grimoires pinned up all over the place.

"You look like you don't really need my help." she said ducking under a clothes line with pages hung up on it.

"Well I have the spell figured out but I need someone with more power to help me." he said

"Okay so let's get started then." she said

"Slow down, Davina, we need to take this slowly." he said

"What are you missing."

"Magical herb called Kavix, it's the main ingredient and I know where it is but the witch that keeps it is a bit nutty and she doesn't like me much." he said

"What did you do?" she laughed

"I did nothing."

"Oh really?"

"Okay well I have been operating with no income love I went to the greenhouse she keeps it in and I-"

"You tried to steal it." she assumed

"No I- yes." he admitted

"Alright where is it?" she said

"A little outside the quarter." he said

"Well then you drive." she said throwing him the keys to her car.

"We can take my car." he said

"Whatever." she said grabbing her bag. They walked out and to his car in the garage. It was identical to the one she'd left in Mystic falls that belonged to Kol down to the last detail.

"You like it."

"Ah ya, I have one in Virginia it used to belong to a friend of mine." she said brushing it off. They got in and headed for the mystery greenhouse. She knew now something was off this was Kol's car. She knew because of the blood stain in the passenger side from when Damon staked him at the batting cages. She needed to know more so she let him drive to the greenhouse and they talked Davina was trying to dodge important questions. She blamed herself for this whole thing. She thought back to callie reminding her that Succubi can love a lot easier than most girls. She should've know something was up the minute he followed her.

They were at the green house.

"Where is it?" she asked

"Magical barrier." he said as he park the car and got out. She followed suit looking in the car and then heading to follow Kaleb.

"Ready love?" he asked

"Yes." she said. She was trying to figure out how this could work the spell was real and she knew that she studied it on the ride over it was one hundred percent authentic but why would he have Kol's car. Kaleb looked at her she smiled.

"Hello." he said as they walked in.

"What do you want."

"I'm sorry, I know he had a stunt in here earlier on but I need something." she said trying to be proactive.

"I don't serve freaks of nature or thieves."

"Now that's not very nice." Kol said becoming Defensive.

"I was thinking the same thing." Davina said tuning to look at him then her.

"Get out now or I'll make you get out."

"Oh please try." Davina offered the plants began to move and snake around the witch thy poked around Kaleb and Davina showed to backing down.

"You have three options here." Davina said

"I can give you money for the herd that I need and we can leave and never come back here that's one, I can kill you and steal the herb I need that's two, or my person favorite." she smiled as she lit a blue hell fire in her hand and let her eyes glow red, "I can burn you and your plants alive." she said

"Wow there Darling." Kol said he slipped. She looked at him.

"Davina!" he shouted as the witch stabbed her.

"Wrong choice." she said she threw the palm of Fire behind the witch and grabbed the witch.

"Stay here." she said

"Get the plant." she said holding her side

"You're bleeding out love." he said

"Get the damn plant." she said he quickly ran to the back and grabbed a bunch of it. He came back the witch began to sob and scream in pain as the fire reaches her. Kaleb came back coughing from smoke inhalation. Davina being a phoenix it didn't matter the fire felt good to her. The witch was screaming in pain and Kaleb helped Davina out the door. She was bleeding badly now. She helped her out away from the store and to the car.

"We need to get you help." he said

"I'm all the help I need." she said as she grabbed his hand she linked her mind to his. Him talking with the witch Cassie and a man. Then deeper she didn't have much time. She saw it her at the ball in Mystic falls on her first night Colorado Belgium Waffled everyday for a week, the batting cages, his death, memories of the Mikaelson family. She let go and looked into his eyes.

"Kol?" she asked in disbelief as her eyes filled with tears.

"Did you miss me Darling."
