Chapter 63

Davina and Kol were moving slightly slower in moving out than Hayley and Jackson. They'd just gotten back from looking at dozens of houses. The two had decided to buy a house instead of renting an apartment so they could renovate it as well. Kol was having a family meeting while Davina was laying down. She was tired as hell since Kol kept her up all night. She was going to go check on Marcel apparently there is a murderer in the quarter. Cami said it was Klaus's friend Lucien who Davina had yet to meet. Davina got bored just laying there so she decided to go see Cami she was studying to help with Vince's case on the random murders.

Davina knocked on the door and Cami answered the door.

"Davina hi." she said surprised the two weren't overly close but not because they didn't like each other just for lack of time.

"I brought Coffee." she said Cami moved to let her in and they both laughed

"Sorry it's a mess I'm trying to do a psych evaluation on the killer." she said

"Ya I heard you asked Klaus about his new friend." Davina laughed sipping her coffee.

"Ya I still think there is something about him that just doesn't sit right." she said

"You want me to see what I can find out."

"What can you do that I can't?" she asked

"Go pay the rich bastard a visit, make him talk and I am part seer." she said

"Would you?" she asked

"Ya I've been wanting to meet him but Kol keeps saying he not worth my time and we don't have much time anymore since we're house hunting." she said

"House hunting you two are moving out of the compound."

"Ya he asked to move in with him and we decided to buy a house. I mean I want us to be long term." she said

"Like sex on the dryer while Hope watches Barner for the twelth time in row on sundays long term?" she asked

"I was thinking more like getting married." she said

"That's great." she said

"But.." Davina said

"Kol well none of them really seem like the get married and settle down type so aren't you worried?" she asked

"Ya but I have to try and look at the present where I'm happy and where I know Kol loves me where everything is perfect at the moment." she said

"How wise of you."

"Ya scary. I'm gonna go check out your guy I'll call you later with more information.

"Thank you Davina." she said

"No problem." she said she headed out walking to the apartments Kol said we couldn't move into. Lucien was in the penthouse. She headed up to the apartment. She got there and listened he was inside alright. She could here him panting and moaning as a women screamed. She put her hand on the door melting the card reader and opening the door. She closed it and headed in. her heels clicking loudly on the marble floor but she didn't care. She opened the bedroom door to see him thrusting into a silent captive.

"For a nine-hundred year old vampire you really aren't much to look at." he stopped and got up.

"Get some pants on." she commanded using the caller. He obeyed and got dressed

"Honey come here." Davina said moving closer to the captive. She got up and came to Davina she wiped the compulsion from her mind and looked her in the eyes.

"Forget what happened to you here go home and go about your normal life." she said the girl got dressed and left.

"Who the hell are you."

"Davina." she said

"Ah yes the Phoenix Nik warned me about." he said as she allowed him to break of the compulsion.

"Does everyone in the supernatural world know more about me than I do." she rolled her eyes.

"So what is it I can do for you."

"Leave unsuspecting women out of whatever you're up to for starters." she said

"Drink?" he asked rhetorically she took the glass and took a sip and sat down with him.

"So what can I do for you." he asked

"There have been some murders in the quarter." she said

"You need help so you came to me I'm touched." he mocked Davina pulled out her phone quickly texting Kol. then pulling up a picture Cami sent her of the most recent murder.

"Oh how brutal what are you accusing a vampire of murder. You caught me officer." he smirked, "or are you more into nurse patient I can be flexible." he said her phone buzzed as she coughed a bit.

"Excuse me a moment love." he said heading into the other room Davina got up losing her balance she stumbled to the door. Something was wrong she couldn't read him her mind was in shambles and she was losing it. Voices scrambling in her brain. She opened the door and hit the down button on the elevator.

"Going somewhere love." he asked throwing her into the wall behind the elevator he lifted her up by her hair.

"Why are you here Lucien?" she asked her vision going in blurs

"I am here for my sire to make sure I don't die that Nik doesn't die. You should care about that so come now let us see then one by friend one by foe and one by family." he recited

"What do you want with me." she spat at him. She slapped her and held her chin roughly so she was looking at him, "I wan't you out of my way Phoenix." he said throwing her again. He kicked her in the stomach.

"What did you do do me."

"A plethora of poisons you see no one poison can affect something so powerful but together a cocktail of them can harm you just fine." he said she got to her feet and tried to summon the hellfire she knew so well. He threw a punch hitting her face as she fell the elevator dinged and Kol appeared looking at the fallen beaten Davina then to lucien who sped into the apartment as Kol sped after him and was blocked by the spell.

"I'll kill you you worthless-"

"Kol." Davina said her voice scratchy and broken, "get me out of here." she said he broke the table and threw a chunk of the wood at Lucien making it hit his chest close to his heart that he'd have to dig for splinters. He grabbed Davina and sped off back to the compound
