[Chaeyoung's POV]

When the morning comes, I sent Mina back to her house and she immediately went to hugged her parents.

"You're back..." Her dad said and hugged her tightly.

"Thank you for taking good care of her, prince." Her mum said and I smiled.

"Don't say that. She's the one that take care of me." I said and Mina smiled to me.

"Let's meet up at there later." I said and she nodded.

I bowed to her parents and took my leave.

When I reached home, I saw dad and mum chatting at the balcony.

I did not care much and just went back to my room.

I bath myself and after that, I changed into my casual clothes.

I went to the secret garden and waited for Mina there.

Since it's breakfast time and she have yet eaten earlier, I decided to cook some food.

After cooking, I heard the gate opened.

I went out and saw Mina walking towards the house.

"Hi." She said and smiled.

"Hi. Food is ready." I said and went to the kitchen.

She followed me and I placed the food on the table.

"You know how to cook?" She asked and I nodded.

"I have learn some culinary skills in my school." I said.

"Let me taste if it's nice." She said and I took a spoon of food.

I fed her and she watched her reaction.

"How does it taste?" I asked and she swallowed the food.

"Nice." She said and I smiled.

"Of course. I always get high marks in culinary class." I said and she shook her head while smiling.

I took the plates to the dining table and she took the cutleries.

After that, we sat down and start eating.

When we finished eating, Mina volunteered to wash the dishes and I stood behind her and watched her.

After she finished washing, I decided to take her out.

When we are shopping around the streets, we heard commotion at the front.

But I didn't care much and saw a beautiful ring.

"Mina, wait for me here." I said and went to the shop to buy that ring.

When I exited the shop, I didn't saw Mina around and I decided to look around for her.

I went to the crowd and look for her but then, I saw a guy dropping a brick while Mina is backfacing him.

I saw blood start dripping on the floor and look at Mina who is about to fall.

I rushed to her and laid her down on the floor while her head is resting on my chest.

"Mina-ya! Wake up!" I shouted while shaking her.

She then opened her eyes and smiled weakly to me.

"Mina-ssi..." I look up and saw dad?

"Dad?" I called.

"Why are you here?" I asked.

"She saved me..." Dad said and I look at Mina.

"Why did you do that?" I asked and she smiled weakly.

"So that your highness won't fall ill and the country still have a leader." Mina said and I caressed her cheek.

"Don't sleep first. Keep talking to me." I said and carried her in the bridal style.

Since it's quite near the castle, I carried her back to my room and get the doctor here.

When the doctor is here, he went in immediately and I waited outside.

After a few hours, the doctor came out and I went to him.

"How's she?" I asked.

"Her head injury is not very pleasant but her condition is currently stable." The doctor said.

"She will not wake up for this period but after this period, she will wake up one day." The doctor said and I thanked him before entering to look at my sleeping Mina.

I went to her and hold her hand.

"I will let you sleep for now, but don't sleep for too long." I said and hold her hand to my cheek.

I closed my eyes and sat beside her.

Suddenly, I heard the door opened.

"Chaeyoung-ah..." I turned around to see dad and mum walking towards me.

"What exactly happen?" I asked.

"The guy earlier was there because he's angry that I kicked him out of the castle. He used to be one of the guards here but due to some reason, I kicked him out of the castle and he's unhappy with me. Today when I'm out, he came to me and shouted at me. He went to take a nearby brick and was about to hit me with it but she suddenly stood in front of me and took the hit for me." Dad said and I glared at him.

"What else do you guys still want? You don't accept our relationship, don't allow her to eat with us and now you even want her to take that hit for you?" I asked and dad shook his head.

"I never expected that she will jump out of the crowd and stood in front of me." Dad said.

"She have already suffered enough... Can you just give her a break? Everything you are doing are just hurting her. You're a prince before and you have also fell for a ordinary girl like mum but why can you marry her and I can't? Even though you didn't tell me that mum is a farmer's daughter, but I know. What is different is only that her father is a gardener and grandpa is a farmer. Why can't we be together? Why can't she eat with us at the same table?" I asked.

"Because she have no right." Mum said.

"She will be my future wife and she have the right to. I've already brought the ring, preparing to propose to her but because of you, I can't... Why must you always destroy my plan? When I was young, all I wanted is just your care and concern. But you never showed me. I always envy the other children that they have their parents to fetch them home once they were released from school. I will always anticipate for you to come, but none of you come. Not even one time. Whenever I asked you, you said yes but when I was released, I never see you waiting outside for me. You even stop me from making friends with others. Do you know that my childhood is very boring until I met her? She's the one that keeps me living happily. She always appear in my mind whenever I'm sad and she have the ability to make me happy while you don't. You are my father. You should care for me more than she did but she care about me more than you and mum did." I said.

"Just leave us alone..." I said and turned back to Mina.

I hold her hand and continue to stay by her side.
