"Maybe we should just stop and ask for directions," Tadashi yelled over the idle roar of his moped that you were both sitting on.
"Dashi, we're fine," you told him, "I know where we're going."
He gave you a somewhat skeptical look before hesitantly agreeing.
"Okay," he said, "But if we get lost-"
"Then we'll stop for directions," you stated, smiling at Tadashi's love for planning and organization - and just out of your love for him.
Tadashi chuckled and shook his head, redirecting his eyes to the road ahead of you as he revved the engine on his bike back up. You glanced up at the stoplight, which had now switched to green, and tightened your arms around his waist, resting your head on his shoulder.
As Tadashi drove along the mostly open roads, you couldn't help but let your mind wander, just a little bit, to previous memories of these rides in the dark. You smiled as the beloved events of the past entered your mind, swamping your thoughts with nothing but joyous smiles and stolen kisses under the stars...
-------------------
The brisk November air pummeled your skin as Tadashi picked up speed on his Moped. You wrapped your arms more tightly around him, trying to seep up as much of his body heat as you could. You knew it was the middle of November in San Fransyoko, so of course it was going to be cold, but underestimated just how cold it could really be - again. You had grabbed your leather jacket just before heading out the door, but this time it just wasn't enough.
Enjoying the small waves of warmth radiating off of Tadashi's back, you nuzzled your head into the divet right between his shoulderblades and turned your head to the side, admiring the stars scattered across the night sky. It was just past sunset, so the sky had transformed from soft oranges and pinks to a gradient of navy blue cascading into jet black.
You sighed, taking in all of it's beauty... not that it could even compare to Tadashi, of course. It got pretty damn close, but not quite enough to beat him out. Your thoughts began to drift to your long-time boyfriend and best friend's gorgeous features, admiring each and every single aspect of him that you've memorized thus far, only to be interrupted by the slow halt of the scooter you were both sitting on.
"We're here," Tadashi said with a smile, taking off his helmet before stashing them both in the side compartment.
You smiled right back at him and took his hand, beginning to lead the way before he stopped in his tracks.
"Dashi?" you asked as you looked back at him, confused.
He had an amused look on his face that was mixed with a bit of admiration.
"What?" you asked him again, still not understanding what he was trying to tell you.
He simply raised an eyebrow at you in response before a smirk appeared on his lips... God, those lips...
"So," he asked, an heir of amusement and confidence apparent in his voice, "Where are we going? Lead the way!"
You paused as you realized what he was trying to tell you, a sheepish smile forming on your face.
"Right," you said, "I have no idea where we're going or what this place is."
You looked around briefly, scanning the area.
"But so far, it looks amazing," you added.
Tadashi stared at you for a moment, lost in thought, before replying: "Not as amazing as you."
