The Changes

Lyra POV

I decided to leave the night into a slumber once I saw his text. It gave me a reassurance that I have the tiniest speck of hope for something between us. But first I'd have to deal with the brat of a girl named Rachel. If you don't know by now, Rachel is Daniel's girlfriend for approximately 1 official year now and I hate her. Most would assume I hate her since she had my man but no. I hate her for the fact that she's spoiled, cares too much about herself, selfish, and an overall  b*tch to describe her! Sure she's pretty and stuff but I know Daniel could've gotten REAL better than her personality wise. Enough about that rat though! Once I'd fallen asleep it was peaceful and calm the sound of the wind outside the window made it easier to sleep plus the distant but vivid sound of crickets making their melodic music of the night lulled me and most likely other to sleep.

    I woke up feeling good, having said the peaceful sleep I had with nothing to disturb me was actually great. I can see why Daniel loves his job even though the consequences that come with it...
After waking up fully and doing a quick rinse of my body in the shower I successfully put on some clothes and head out to try to find the old lady who started a new chapter in my life.

Daniel POV

I woke up to an annoying alarm ringing right next to my head and I lazily reach up to turn the annoying alarm off until I realize it's a damn school day. I groan internally realizing it's Monday and how much I dreaded this day and everyday while I was still studying. I quickly got up and dressed in something decent to not get stared at as if I'm a clown. As I finished with that I made my way downstairs to my so called parents and saw that there was a note on the counter.

By the time you are reading this we'll be miles away from here. I'm sorry we left on such short notice but it seemed your Uncle had some financial problems with his fishing company and stress got the best of him and he's fallen ill and we've gone to help the business and him. We hope you understand. We are more than sure your capable of taking care of yourself. Have a good day sweetie

Well that's a start to a great day. I grab some toast and eat it while walking to where the school is as I see the address scribbles next to the classes. Suddenly I drop my toast when two loud girls jump next to me.
"LYRAAA WHERE WERE YOU!!! You didn't answer your phone or texts and we got so worried idiot!!" One with short dark brown fading into blonde girl said to me. "I uhmm I was busy with t-that...... wish giving thing! Yeah that! It took ALL night!" I came up with quickly. "Oh well still don't be an idiot and ignore us the whole night, we get worried. Anyways let's go." The other with glasses and dark brown curly hair said to me. Reluctantly I agreed and started matching their pace while they blabbered about nonsense.
I'm assuming they thought I wasn't thinking because they kept interrupting my deep thoughts of how the heck I'm going to get out of this situation. The only option I'd have as of now would be to play this whole thing out until things are all resolved and I'm in my original VERY handsome body along with my caring girlfriend Rachel. Speaking about her..... I have no idea how she's doing. She may even hate me right now and I don't know anything about it!
I let those thoughts go and began to make a plan of how to tell these to idiot heads my situation and prove to them I'm really Daniel Park and Lyra what's her name is in mine. Not that hard right? Easy peasy! Nothing dramatic at all......
