The advantage of having a hippogriff is that you can fly in just a day and night to Bree.

Carden landed just outside of Bree.

"You stay here," I ordered, "I'm going to take a look."

Carden nodded and fell exhaustingly on the ground. "Stay safe and if there are any problems, call me."

"I will."

I put my scarf on and covered my head with the hood of my cape. I walked towards the gate of Bree and was surprised to find it laying on the ground. I quickened my pace and headed for The Prancing Pony. I knew Gandalf good enough to know that we would meet each other there.

I walked into the inn and stopped when I saw  no one inside. I placed my hand on my sword.

Strange.

I quietly walked further, not wanting to make any noise. I looked over the bar and saw the bartender sitting on the ground, hugging his knees. He looked terrified.

His eyes shot up when he saw me and pointed his knife at me.

I quickly raised my hands as a sign of peace.

"Easy now, I won't hurt you," I kneeled, not wanting to frighten him more than I already did. "What happened?"

"They came in the night," he whispered obviously still terrifying, "went to the Hobbits suit."

I quickly stood up and dashed towards the Hobbits suit.

I wasn't too late, was I?

I threw the door open, a hand on my dagger. My eyes flew over the beds and I sighed in relief when I couldn't find a single drop of blood. I went to the nearest bed and saw that Frodo had replaced his sleeping figure with pillows.

Smart fellow.

I narrowed my eyes when I saw the other beds.

He had not been alone.

I ran back to the bartender and grabbed his shoulders, forcing him to stand up. "Have you seen a Hobbit? He has dark hair and bright blue eyes, you could not have missed him."

When he didn't replied, I sighed irritated and stormed back outside. No one was on the streets, they were probably still shaken by the Nazgûl. One thing was certain; Frodo wasn't here anymore.

I cursed, now I had to find his tracks.

This could take a while.

I looked around and my eyes fell on and elder man. Or I could just ask where they went.

I walked towards the man. "Hello, can I ask you a question?"

The man looked up and narrowed his eyes at my cape.
